Description: There are no hard edges to Bahiya. Feminine and soft, she moves with a dancer's grace and economy of movement. Golden skin and abundant curves, with dark gray eyes and a mane of thick, dark brown hair, she is both dignified and inviting in her manner. Sightless eyes are sometimes unfocused when she shifts her attention, her expressive features are quick to light up with a smile, and her neutral expression one of warmth.

Personality: Warm and inviting, Bahiya is also amazingly stubborn and very independent. Observant to a fault, she's always eager to learn as much about anything that interests her as she can. Her joy is almost child-like, the steel in her spine a subtle thing, and while she may raise her voice to gain attention, she very rarely loses her temper.

Background: Bahiya grew up a beloved child of minor nobility, her peaceful, idyllic childhood marred only by a singular accident that robbed her of her sight. Adaptation required a strength of character that bloomed easily and surpised no one; sightless or not, her family found it hard for her to be anything less than independent and gracious. Well loved and well educated, there wasn't anything she didn't want to learn, the girl having an especially keen ear for language fostered early.

It's very difficult to grow up loving your life, your people, your place in the world, even the path that unfurls before you, when you disagree so heartily on something so fundumental to it all: slavery. It's a dangerous thing to disagree with salvery among the Eurusi, but from a young age Bahiya struggled to keep her ideals hidden. Life as a courtier, an influencer, and an advisor, settling into the official role of diplomat came naturally to the educated young woman. Finding her words weighed seriously by members of court, both the respected and the powerful, it was Prince Damik'uhl'daja who eventually brought her into his retinue. Kenjay, her bodyguard, was a slave in her service until they came to Arx, Bahiya's first order of business to free him gaining her an unexpected companion in this foreign country. His freedom is a release of her own as well, as she no longer needs to hide her formerly forbidden ideals among the people of the Compact.

Name Summary
Adrienne I met Bahiya'al'mathali at the Trader's Tavern on a beautiful spring night. I can understand why the Crown Prince has chosen her as his representative even in a short acquaintance.
Alecstazi A blind ambassador? Somehow I think it must be pretense. A way of tricking us into letting down our guard. She says she is loyal to her Prince and so her alligeance has never changed. I find that statement a curious and suspicious thing. For how can one be devoted to a leader, but not the system or people that uphold them? It is curious.
Anisha "We have much to talk about," she told me - and I can see why. We are mirrors of Arvani and Eurusi culture, courtiers each drawn with a careful brush, set up to hold the formalities and strictures of our respective societies. I find her soothing, soft, serene. Like a Whisper. Yes, Lady Ambassador. I do expect we have very much to talk about.
Kenjay The best owner I ever had, and the one who gave me my freedom the moment she could. She faces the world on her feet, with courage and honour and a warm heart. Four years and more, Bahiya was an owner; now she is a friend.
Mabelle A delicate woman, I think her vision is impaired for her other senses seem hightened. She likes puppies too. I look forward what she brings to the table under her duty and role as diplomat.
Mirk One of our new Eurusi visitors to Arx. A lady, from her bearing and her manner, though I'm not familiar with Eurusi society enough to say more than that. The first meeting was cut too short, but I'm sure I'll be seeing her again.
Miska Quiet when she needs to be, but when she speaks she's worth listening to.
Niklas She seems to have a gentle demeanor, but any Lycene can tell you that there are a number of poisons that go down easily.
Porter An intriguing and charming woman, her conversation was delightful and she didn't mind spending part of her evening with a stranger.
Ras Blind. Dances. Didn't like slavery -- reckon she's glad to be here in Arvum. Reckon Arvum's glad she's here too, mostly. Got a grace about her in a lot of ways, like she doesn't freak out if you burp even if she's pretty much a Eurusi silk.
Raziel A new arrival within our Compact, she seeks to learn. I suspect she will not be so blind as many others born to it, but it'll be interesting to see what new perspective brings.
Rook The Eurusi Ambassador and most pleasant company. I look forward to finding myself in her presence a little more often.
Rosalind She was so super nice and has the most beautiful eyes. She was graceful and kind and I have a feeling I could learn something from her. Maybe patience.
Rukhnis It is not often one meets with a blind diplomat, from any land. I wonder how many people underestimate her? Only a fool would do so, but the world is full of them. Yet she is friendly, in her way, and able to take pleasure in her new surroundings despite whatever losses she must have sustained.
Sabella She is an absolute vision in purple! I mean that I can see how she was chosen as diplomat! Her insight into Eurus will be of great help for us to forge new ties and strong alliances! What? Why are you looking at me like that?
Sorrel The blind ambassador from Eurisi. Very pleasant and charming.
Verity She seems so kind and thoughtful that I regret seeing her sad, but there is much for which she must feel sorrow. I hope that this place holds her absolution.
Wagner Sees more than those that still have their fuckin' eyes - at first glance at least. I wouldn't be opposed to meeting her acquaintance again.
