Description: Ludovic is.. Thoroughly average for a man from the North. He's not excessively tall or burly, but also not quite lean. He's solid, with broad shoulders, narrow hips and a strong jaw. Blond hair is often tousled, usually kept on the shorter side. Likewise, Ludo prefers to be clean-shaven when life permits. When it doesn't, he's at least the well-kept kind of scruffy. His eyes are the saturated blue of a cloudless summer sky, deep and captivating.

Personality: Like so many Northern men, Ludovic can be a little rough around the edges sometimes. A little bit gruff when conversations wander into areas he doesn't like, he still usually manages to smooth it all over. He isn't one to hold a grudge, and is generally receptive to reconciliation even when things -do- get bad.

He's been the 'face' of his tribe for years, doing the talking when dealing with other tribes or Compact merchants or scouts. Others might be better at the actual deal-making, but he often knows just how to sweeten the deal, and how to word things in his favour.

Background: Ludovic hails from the edges of the Everwinter, where his tribe wandered deeper into the tundra and down into the northernmost reaches of the Gray Forest, and back. A life of hunting and gathering, a life of fighting other Abandoned tribes, or sharing fires with them. It was a good life, really, though not as good as many in the Compact had it.

When the Great Road was built all the way to the Bonespire, his people made their way on a grand pilgrimage, interested in learning more about the Keep that featured heavily in so many of their stories. Ludo, however, had his gaze facing forward, into the future. While his tribe listened to tales of the past, he sought out stories of the present, of trips to Giants Reach, to Whitehold and beyond. Arx was painted in his minds' eye as a thing of wonder, full of mystery and opportunity. If he could bring some of that home, perhaps more of his people would find a place within the safety of the Compact.

Relationship Summary

Northlands:
  • Magnus - The reputation of the Bonespire reaches far and wide, even in the Everwinter. The name 'Magnus', as well, carries a certain weight. I have nothing but respect for the man that carries both of these, and carries them well.
  • Volcica - She's the one that came to talk to us about our way of life, and about joining the Compact. She opened up a world of opportunity to me, though I wouldn't mind seeing that icy demeanor melt a little more.

  • Friend:
  • Svana - I met her way up in the Bonespire, before she moved to Arx for real. Her stories of the great City and the journey to and from the North are part of what inspired me to take the plunge myself! She's a good friend, and I'm sure I'll lean on her now that I'm here, too.
  • Gaston - As it turns out, we're two peas in a pod! We both ran through the wilds as children, though I had no noble duties to shirk. Clearly, we both like making our own Choices, and he's helped me learn a little more about Skald.

  • Acquaintance:
  • Vesper - What an inspiration! She makes me think about becoming a knight, and protecting the wild roads. 'Knight of Choice' sure has a nice ring, doesn't it?
  • Shard - What is there to say about her? Every prodigal had a Shard in their life, growing up. Strong, fierce, proud of who they are. She reminds me so much of the people I've left up north, and shows me everything we can be.
