Description: This man possesses an athletic frame that is consistent with one who has practiced a life of hard labor. Standing almost at six feet, the defining aspects of his build are his broad shoulders and slim yet powerful-looking limbs. Wavy strands of russet brown hair fall over his ears and to his shoulders, though not in an unkempt manner. In fact, he seems rather well-groomed, with his hair trimmed at the ends, and a shaven, slightly stubbly face. In the right light, his hair shines a gentle red here and there. Two round, brown eyes flank a slim nose that compliments his high cheekbones and sharp jaw and chin.

Personality: An autodidact of sorts, Kaine is motivated by work and learning. He is at his best when he has something to do and something to find out more about, whether it's perfecting one of his many crafts or learning more about the life story of someone he runs into at a tavern. He has a good sense of humor and a generally laid-back attitude.

Background: Born to a common family in the Crownlands, Kaine Algair's lot in life was meager at first. The seventh-oldest of ten children and farmhands-to-be, the beginning of Kaine's story is often that of a common farmer. However, Kaine saw a need to stand out. From as early as five years old it was clear that he would be bored with the simple peasant life. As he grew a bit older he preferred fixing and building things around the house, helping make clothing for himself and his siblings, and fitting horses with horseshoes. Watching a few of his elder siblings leave for Arx, Kaine knew that a brighter future waited in the city for him. As a young adult, Kaine prepared to set out and earn an apprenticeship with a craft guild, promising his parents that he would visit and bring home silver for them from time to time. Kaine slowly learned a wide variety of crafts, but his lack of dedication meant that a guild was reluctant to help him. For most of the time he spent in the city, Kaine focused on teaching himself, and impressing potential customers with his works.
