A Pilgrim's Path

Princess Alarissa Thrax was found in error by the Faith of the Pantheon, and formally condemned by the Faith for reasons that were unclear to many of the commons, but suggested she was consorting with the Abyss. This is interpreted by the most people as some sort of political squabble hidden to them, or perhaps that a high noble was being disrespectful towards the authority of the church, and that it was appropriate for any great noble to be be reminded of the primacy of the Faith of the Pantheon when it comes to moral judgments. And so most look on with great approval as the wife of a highlord and one of the great nobles of Arvum is humbled, and travels as a pilgrim throughout the continent.
Escorted by many of Arx's famous including Prince Edain Valardin, the highlord of the Oathlands, Princess Marian Redrain, Princess Elgana Redrain, Archscholar Sina Godsworn, Count Philippe Blanchard, Marquis Kael Keaton, Marquessa Reigna Keaton, Legate Ailith the Shield of the Faith, Dame Emilia Godsworn, Prince Jasher Thrax, Lady Videl Igniseri, Sir Preston the Grandmaster of the Knights Templar, Baron Thorley Farwatch, Princess Sorrel Thrax, Sparte Grayfellow, Lord Seth Steelhart, and Ajax. It is not a particularly fast pilgrimage, as in a show of humility Princess Alarissa spends a great deal of time interacting with the commoners in village to village, spending time with children, answering questions, and letting her traveling compansions spread the Faith and aid commoners with their local issues. Eventually, they travel the entire Pilgrim's Path in the Mourning Isles, and travel up to Threerivers' lands to retrieve the body of the Seraph of Highrock and those that died with him, with aid from Lady Umbroise Acheron's and Legate Ailith's diplomatic efforts. The bodies are then transported down to Sanctum for burial, where Alarissa formally meets the Seraph of Sanctum, confesses her sins, humbles herself before the Faith, and asks for forgiveness. Following the Seraph of Sanctum's benediction, she is publicly granted absolution. There's great celebration at that, and more than a few Oathlands Orthodox see it as a reaffirmation of the primacy of the Faith of the Pantheon, and are glad to see their belief confirmed that picking any fight with the Faith will ultimately end in any noble, no matter how great, kissing the ring and asking for absolution.
