Grim Seminary

The Grihem Seminary and Philosophical Academy has been built at Grihem's Point, a massive new theological school upon Grimhall lands to train godsworn of the Faith of the Pantheon. The gargantuan institution provides both a place where much of the privileged of the Isles can direct their less critical offspring to train as godsworn and curry favor with the Church, which does please the traditionalists, while also providing a potential outlet to former thralls who are looking to start over with their newfound freedom and find a home in the Faith. There may be some tension in the future as the peerage of the Isles obviously expects preferential treatment for their children joining the Faith, even though the entire point of godsworn vows is to reduce neopotism and political influence of houses, it's an unspoken way that things are done, and the traditionalists see all the talk about bringing thralls into the faith with the expectation that's just for appearances, and of course someone whose former name was Thrax or Grimhall would be the future archlectors of tomorrow.

The seminary is celebrated as a grand achievement throughout the Compact, and the names of those responsible come up frequently among the peers praising the work of Valdemar, Vanora, Aureth, Lilia, Vayne, Cassima, Sanya, Sina and Edward. Privately, some of the Oathlands Orthodox are torn in worrying about a flood of Islanders infecting the Faith, and that they will not be hardline enough. Others are reassured that the Grimhalls are among the most conservative of houses in Arvum, and believe it's more likely they will be closer to the Orthodoxy, but the heavy involvement of the Archlector of the 13th and Legate of the Lost gives them pause.
