There was some talk in Arx of a Lower Boroughs inhabitant known as Ras who went to the Black Fox tavern in the Ward of the Lyceum and apparently picked a fight with several nobles there, and was promptly nearly beaten to death by their guards. That sort of unfortunate thing happens, with most peers praising the restraint of the men and women that serve as guardsmen for not killing the poor ruffian, and some talking about it as an amusing anecdote since no real people were harmed in the eyes of the peerage, but mostly incidents like that are quickly forgotten.
Normally they would be, but in this case, several million silver was just donated in Ras' name to support the Iron Guard, the Faith of the Pantheon and the Inquisition. While some immediately praise the young lad for supporting the great institituions in Arx, both peers and commoners alike are... curious how a 19 year old thug in the Lower Boroughs has several million silver around. A lot of peers grumble about the need for MUCH higher taxes, if that's the case, while a quite a few thugs in the Lower Boroughs would like to meet Ras and find out if he has a few million silver lying around he could donate to them personally, rather than to the individuals who have the boots on the neck of Lower Boroughs inhabitants.
