The Song of Tala Everfree

Prince Niklas Grayson's newest masterpiece, The Song of Tala Everfree, has taken the Mourning Isles by storm, and it seems as though the entire Compact is abuzz regarding such an ambitious production with so very many important people attached to it. Princess Sorrel Thrax plays the lead role of Tala Everfree, a former thrall turned hero, Lord Rorik Kennex as her benefactor, Lord Chevron, Nina Autumndale as his heir, Lady Chrysanthis, Lord Dariel Bisland as the villainous Lord Phoebus, Lady Sabella Grayson as the truly wicked foreign princess seeking to conquer all of the Mourning Isles with an army of slave soldiers, and following all of that up is Gianna Whisper the Nightingale, whose voice stirs emotion with every note. It's a hit, nearly everyone agrees, though whether it's a hit to the heart or a hit to the skull is strongly debated, with quite a number of Mourning Isles nobles loudly denouncing the play as transparent propaganda that nobody is bothering to listen to them about.
Quite apart from the cast, there are a large number of notables attached to the touring production, most prominently Prince Victus Thrax, Highlord of the Mourning Isles (the less flattering title of Usurper of Maelstrom is floating around a lot more, these days). Legate Aureth Grayhope, Princess Caith Thrax, and First Liberator Aleksei Morgan were also among them, with Duchess Margot Tyde, Countess Carita Darkwater, Lady Ingrid Grimhall, Lord Cyril Melaeris, Baroness Ember Redreef, Lord Dycard Blackshore, and Duke Aethan Kennex lavishly hosting in each of their domains.
