His Majesty's House

All hail His Majesty, King Alaric Grayson IV! Over the last several months, the King has put together a set of initiatives to improve the quality of life in the city by improving infrastructure, and mobilizing the King’s Ministries to make opportunities for Crownsworn residents. The land to the south of the Gray River has begun to be fortified and prepared for new homes for commoners and businesses; buildings dedicated to matching young or unskilled workers with apprenticeships and other vocations are developed and seeded throughout the Boroughs, in concert with guilds and respectable people in those communities. Building restrictions and permits for marketplaces are eased, leading to small pop-up markets in new places, and outposts of Mercies and Physicians are funded. The Court keeps a close watch on Royal trends and fashions, and as the King makes his interest in seeing the culture of Arx prosper, more Crownsworn artists, crafters, and performers are offered patronage than ever before. This surely has nothing to do with the abrupt departure of several dozen nobles, once affiliated with various Ministries, back to their home domains - although clever gossips note that those Houses who have had nobles return home are the most supportive of the King’s new cultural efforts.
