Lady Emberly Crovane

Crovane has announced it is ennobling Emberly, formerly de-nobled from House Farshaw. So Emberly is not a neo-noble, as she had been born a noble, and many of the peers felt her loss of title was a bit excessive, even if it wasn't their business. Thraxians and Oathlanders certainly take matters seriously enough to do that, while Lycene, Grayson and Redrain likely wouldn't, and the Faith didn't really see it as any of their business and they were being involved for no good reason in a family squabble. The general feeling among the peerage when Emberly is adopted by House Crovane is 'well, at least now that is done with', and would see any future quarrel as a matter between Crovane and Farshaw, and not any of their business. Most Mourning Islanders absolutely hate re-enobling anyone for any reason... or ennobling anyone for any reason, for that matter. It is a matter of birth, and should not be capriciously given or taken away, and once someone is banished they are dead to them. Redrain as a fealty is far more forgiving than that, and think most of the pomp and ceremony around ennobling is overwrought to begin with, and Crovane is a newer house as well. Peers in the Northlands have little problems with it, as grudges always reflect poorly on whoever is keeping them, and the only concerns are among those who want to be more accepted among the Southerners and worry about alienating the Isles or the Oathlands.
The Faith is glad that is done with, and some are likely annoyed by the famously outspoken Dominus giving his opinion. More than a few Seraphs thank Emberly for her public acts of penance, her numerous donations to the Faith, and give her as an example of forgiveness and that yes, that more non-shamanistic peers should really be in the Northlands. Much more hopefully.
