Defending the Cathedral

Days after the horrifying sacking of Bastion, the survivors of the attack on the Cathedral have begun to recount the tales of what they'd endured and offer praises to those they deemed heroes to whom they owe their lives. Count Drake Wyvernheart, Princess Sorrel Thrax, Lady Orelia Mazetti, Princess Gabriella Pravus, Baroness Lucita Saik, Dame Reese Grayson and Prince Silvio Velenosa risked their lives alongside the Templars of Bastion to defend against horde of shavs breaking down the windows and threatening to overwhelm the forces. Valor that saved the lives of countless laity and brothers and sisters of the Faith - not to mention the retired Seraph himself.
Yet it wasn't only physical attacks from invaders that threatened the safety of those within the Cathedral as they speak of heretic requests from the woman who lead the shavs to desecrate the building and renounce the gods in exchange for survival. It was thanks to the persuasive tongue and soothing presence of Archduchess Jaenelle Velenosa, Lady Mabelle Laurent, Princess Gwenna Redrain and Duchess Vanora Grimhall that those within the building held true to their faith and heeded the Seraph's words for order as they filed out of the tunnels to safety.
Dame Reese Grayson is especially credited with charging at the enemy leader in a valiant attempt to buy them time. Though she survived, the people of Bastion cannot help but marvel at the display of selfless courage. A true paragon of Gloria.
There are some whisperings of moving branches and vines that seemed to surround the enemies, with no clear source. Some even claim that the Shav leader was sitting on a large flower. Yet most dismiss this as due to confusion in the dark and fanciful tales in the height of panic.
