In difficult times many of the commoners of the Compact turn towards the Faith. Having an army of unholy abominations that want to unmake the world laying siege to the capital city probably qualifies as difficult, and from the start of the siege the Faith makes it very clear that they stand firm in support of the Compact. Despite potential shortages, the Dominus of the Faith earmarks 1.5 million silver to supplies to prevent starvation, as well as paying wages for emergency construction and other supplies. Legate Orazio and Dominus Aldwin are given tremendous recognition for their efforts- while far from the only ones supporting Arx in such a way, it was certainly the largest single contribution.
