The Lyceum, As Fractious As You'd Expect

The Lyceum has a massive response to the Kennex crisis, and it goes in an extremely Lycene fashion. Which is to say it is clever, highly capable, effectively implemented, and there's at least several different strands that are somewhat or entirely mutually exclusive goals that slightly undermine one another. House Velenosa, led by Archduchess Eleyna and Archduke Talen, see a full million silver given directly to the care of House Thrax rather than to Kennex, so as to be certain that Lycene money would be used effectively in the care of the crisis and to keep strong relations with the traditionalists of the Isles that they do not wish to alienate. The Southport faction echoes this by taking ships to help refugees, keep order for the Compact as a whole, but very pointedly not to provide material aid to a house whose actions they see as suspect. But then at least three Houses provide direct aid to Kennex, and markedly improve their economic recovery, with House Mazetti in particular going out of its way to make sure they don't take any refugees that would hamper Stormward's manpower and recovery, with Marquis Hadrian and Marquessa Cambria overseeing the efforts. Igniseri under Lucita and Quenia take a more measured approach in accepting refugees, but focusing on the general recovery of Stormward, and Fidante under Duchess Calista similarly is willing to take refugees while seeing directly to Stormward. Princess Valencia donates to the overall effort, as disjointed as it is, with the Golden Hart offering support from its well born members, and Lady Viviana oversees the overall security of the mass transport of the fleet moving refugees to a half a dozen city-staets taking refugees. Reaction to all this is as mixed as the actions themselves, with Thrax being fond of Velenosa's action, Kennex being fond of Mazetti, Igniseri and Fidante, and Saik and Malvici managing to increase their workforce while very pointedly not helping Kennex. At least several scholars in the Great Archive, when tasked to detail all that happened through Lycene actions, were seen first getting spectacularly intoxicated.
