So about that Noble Dignity thing

Not long after a minor scandal rocks House Grayson, with public infighting between two of its best and brightest damaging the public's confidence, Princess Avaline Velenosa has backbiting words, quickly turned to a plea for keeping petty squabbles out of the public eye...but not before her white journal kicks off another petty squabble.
There's nothing shocking about a Lycene instigating trouble and mischief, but when Lady Arianna Stonewood responds with her agreement and more, things get ugly. There's a bit of leeway given for all the young nobles and leaders in the Compact. There's room to grow. But the experienced politicians and the diplomats can't help but put their heads in their hands when they hear of how she accuses her fealty's Great House of dishonor and - what's worse: Claims she speaks with the will and support of her own people in calling publicly for House Grayson to appoint the Voice of her choosing.
She also claims publicly she would not care if she lost her title. The general sentiment is she should have given it up or waited to lose it before her public tiff. After all, that is the benefit of being a commoner: In exchance for having little influence and less authority, one is allowed to speak one's mind. For the rest, for the peerage, there is the tradition and absolute expectation that one will present a publicly acceptable stance - no matter what one believes. It's not about whether your feelings are right, or wrong, the elders caution their family members. It's about doing no damage to the supposition that YOU and YOUR FAMILY are deserving of authority. Of power.
For their part, the Inquisition smugly agrees with Arianna about their purpose, if nothing else. And don't you forget it, Compact!
