Sing the Grief Away

Lord Karadoc Saik has embarked upon morale-building efforts among his troops. They've lost a lot recently, and this is a time of mourning and sorrow. And yet Lord Karadoc is determined to turn morale around. He spends money buying drinks in taverns. And then spends money hiring very drunk - happy, but very drunk - carousers to sing a particular song.
It's the song Baroness-Regent Lucita wrote for Lady Eirene. Called Rattle Me Bones, it is a catchy tune that speaks to grief drowned in the camaraderie of fellow soldiers, of sorrows washed away with the sweat of a good spar, of loss avenged with a swift blade and training for the future. It's a good song, and he sees to it that the soldiers all have copies, and mentions it to others regularly, and sends those happy drunks singing that song. It isn't long before all of Saikland Greens is singing it, and the song spreads to the Malvici, and the Velenosa, and to the Compact itself.
Come rattle me bones, rattle me bones,
With blades or fists give grunts and groans,
Bloody fine mists and sore muscle burns
Grief'll fade a bit with the twists and turns.
