I happen to agree with Natalia entirely. Births/deaths/marriages are a totally big deal, thematically. I prefer that they stay the same, and if someone's not interested in reading it: Don't. I certainly don't read ALL of the proclamations out there, though, thematically, a birth or Marriage IS a Really Big Deal across the Compact - for plenty of political reasons, both for allies and enemies.
