On Scheduling

Posted by Puffin on 08/22/18
Hey folks! There's been some confusion about this, but I want to be pretty clear. If you are someone who plays Really Weird Hours, and you want to be part of a particular GMing arc, please let us know and we'll try to do the best we can to accomodate. What this means for you is that if you have something you're pursuing that's really important to your character, make sure you're the one taking point on the action leads (or that the person who is leading the action points you out as The Most Important Person) and we'll make sure to schedule around you.

Sometimes, because of player and GM schedules, it's really difficult to schedule scenes that fit everyone's time zone. But if you are the lead on an action, and it's your action, and you're (for example) a Euro player? I'm much more likely to schedule a scene (if warranted) that is run during the day. Likewise if you're 3rd shift we can try to make accomodations accordingly. Or Aussie. Or whatever, really. And if the people supporting you can't make it, they can view the logs after and be considered as part of the action.

Of course it's easier if everyone has overlapping schedules on the regular, but I understand that's not realistic, mostly because our playerbase seems to really enjoy RPing with each other whether or not their timezones match. Since that's a GOOD thing, I'm not complaining - but I am mentioning this in advance of the crisis actions because this crisis (24) is geared toward smaller group activities. Which means there may be a bunch of GM'd scenes. Which means think about who's leading which action, and know that we'll schedule scenes with the leader of the action's time and availability trumping assistants.
