Update

The Good News: We have worked hard to rebuild game critical information that might hamper roleplay. There are still a few things were are working on, like restoring Event names and other things that come up, but we are now in a much better position than we were this time yesterday.

The Bad News: When I say 'restore', what I really mean is 'recreate'. Sadly, given the sheer amount of data that passes through the game in the form of messengers, crafted objects, haggling transactions, work rolls, etc etc, there is no feasible way for us to recreate everything. Staff is discussing handing out a flat amount of xp and silver to all players in an attempt to restore what was lost, but it will not be everything for some of you. I have to choose between setting my team on a task to comb through player supplied logs and enter in thousands of commands to restore what was lost for everyone or we could work on moving forward and continuing story. I choose to move forward. I know that decision will disappoint some of you and, again, I apologize for that frustration.

What to Do Now: If you submitted any +request or goal/rfr between 2/4 and 2/26, it is lost. If you resubmit, we are happy to handle those again, with the caveat that it might take some time since I am expecting far more than we usually get in the course of a day. If there is something STORY CRITICAL (meaning you cannot RP without this issue being fixed) missing with your character, we will do what we can to restore that for you, but, again, this will take time and you will need to submit a +request.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding during this time. We have some really exciting things planned (the storm that caused all this trouble was a part of that!) and look forward to getting things back to normal so we can move that along.
