Thoughtpose reminder

So this is in help files, but bears a reminder. Recently in a flashback someone wrote this in a scene:

"It's true that <Character Name> has developed a taste for rubbing it in people's faces, whatever 'it' is, and generally making people as uncomfortable as possible, but it would seem that there are limits to how disruptive she's willing to be, or how snide, because she's not here. In a rare moment of grace, she's stayed away from the wedding of the man who, once upon a time, she loved, and who she thought loved her. She'll go back to showing up where she isn't wanted and saying mean things to people tomorrow, so nobody get any ideas about a heart of gold in there somewhere. She just has better things to do. Really."

As a general rule, it's a bad idea to do that. Because even if it can seem self-defacing, it could still come across as critical of others, like the implication there would be that the character considered the endeavor as not worth her time, and it gives no opportunity for other characters to respond to that. Please don't do this, it comes across as a passive aggressive attack on other characters, even when someone is trying to highlight their own character's flaws.
