The Fruitful Mind
Posted by Mia on 12/17/18
The Canticle of Vellichor has long told us that when the god of histories appeared to men, he commanded us all -- from greatest to least -- to chronicle our lives, that our knowledge never be lost. So too do I believe that as knowledge is held by all, learning is the right of all.
It is therefore with both great hope and great pride that House Riven -- with the blessing of the Scholars and the support of the Physician's Guild -- announces the Fruitful Mind campaign. A great university is to be built on the lands of the Twainfort, where pupils may study history, literature, law, medicine, and economics. Its walls will be open to any student across the Compact who may prove themselves to be of quick and hungry mind, regardless of name or of birth. Whether descended of thralls or of ancient lords, we aim to provide all students with inspiring and engaging educational opportunities that celebrate all aspects of Arvum.
However, an ambition as great as this cannot -- will never -- be done alone. It will be done through the kind hearts and the generous donations of those who believe, like us, that the richest society is a learned society, dedicated to the preservation of its cultures and the continuation of its heritage. It will be built with the great efforts and the careful labors of many.
For now, I wish to thank those who have laid our proverbial foundation:
* Lady Delilah Whitehawk, Emissary of the Scholars
* The Marquis and Marquessa Keaton
* Lord Nigel Riven
* Dame Ida Ferron
* Mistress Josephine Arcuri
* Master Oswyn Spencer
In the coming months, you will see many opportunities to be counted among them. I hope that you will seize them with both hands, and join us in buiding this dream into a reality, one stone at a time.
