The Blasphemer Known as Elisha

It is with regret that I write these words, yet the Faith cannot continue to stand silent in the face of such pointed, dramatic, and repeated heresies. The commoner known as Elisha, being a creative soul, began his spate of heretical maunderings in the whites and persons reached out to us in concern for his well-being. Surely the madman needs the care of a Mercy, for his wandering mind has turned his poetry against virtue and made him believe nonsense, and try to spread it to others.
The Faith is compassionate; the Faith sought to aid him. The Archscholar in her wisdom and mercy attempted to educate him personally, attempted to dissuade his unwell mind from its goal. I commend the Archscholar for her patience, for her temperance. I commend those persons who reached out to us for their compassion in the face of someone so afflicted.
Yet at every effort, at every outstretched arm, we have been rebuffed. The sickness of his mind is one thing. The defiance of his actions cannot be countenanced. He has sought to undermine the authority of the Faith at every time. He has claimed to speak for the gods. He has claimed to speak for Aion, the Dreamer, on whose ground we walk. He has conspired to breach our holy places and worse, he has led others into his madness, with blasphemy and heresy, for there are those who think a madman that the Faith has not answered must be a prophet.
So we must answer. For only the Most Holy speaks for the gods, and Elisha is no prophet.
He is hereby excommunicated, barred from all rites of the Faith and all the properties that are held by the Faith. His words are blasphemy. His anathema shall not spread. The godsworn shall perform the rites of excommunication on this day and until he recant all his foul disobedience and do penance, he shall be denied our mercy.
By my hand this 8th day of the 10th month of 1011 AR.
