About Challenges

Posted by Cassandra on 05/26/20

As much as I enjoy challenges, fought in the name of Gloria, and judgement of each to be watched over by ear, I do not, however, enjoy the declarations being tossed back and forth like they are some kind of right that can abused.

Repeatedly.

I do no need to state that there is extent to how much 'back and forth' needs to be required in a challenge being offered, accepted or denied, and the terms thus stated.

It is not, I should repeat, a message board for the unfortunate town criers that have to shout an argument from one part of the city and back to another.

I should not have to explain this.

Stop it.

However, if Champions don't work out we're here to help! We're helpers!

--- Whisper Stance via Anisha ---
If any further clarification on etiquette and culture is needed, Whisper House is happy to offer tutors. And to help soothe ruffled feathers in lieu of champions or assassins.

--- Scholars Stance via Sina ---
The Great Archive also has a wide selection of books covering chivalry, etiquette and deportment, in case any members of the Peerage have forgotten.

--- Lodge of Petrichor Stance via Brigida ---
If this continues Archlector Brigida will be visiting all involved to have words after her sleep has been repeatedly disturbed.

--- Templars Stance via Preston ---
Duels are about resolving a dispute of honour, no matter how serious or how frivilous, both are valid. If you seek to simply misuse the duel to continue the dispute through incessent clucking however, you tell the Compact how little you think of Gloria to abuse her in this way.

House Laurent kindly suggests learning the full name and appropriate titles before challenging anyone to a duel.

--- Clement Stance via Norwood ---
That is not how this works, that is not how any of it works.
