Fashion Bans

Posted by Alis on 11/21/20
Some time ago, my beloved brother proclaimed an outlawing of socks and slippers worn together within the Valardin Ward. Of course, when such bans are lifted, a proclamation must be made declaring the prior one null and void, and so I do this today and add an extra shoe to the pile in which I will pick from to throw at him when we have the pleasure of seeing him again. (I can't believe I need to do this, frankly, but here we are).

In light of the recent fashion atrocity paraded around the ward by Duke Laurent to the absolute delight of our people, which Princess Zara and I find ourselves in awe of, we rescind the ban on socks and slippers worn together within the Valardin Ward. Effective immediately.

Far be it for me to question our leader but do we have to?

--- Valardin Stance via Alis ---
Complaints can be submitted directly to Princess Zara Valardin.

The spirit of creativity is holy to Jayus. The Faith looks forward to what the Oathlands will come up with for the summer season.

--- Tessere Stance via Gaspar ---
House Tessere is torn. While we celebrate the freedom from strict rules of fashion, we mourn that the actual selection of fashion stated will once more be an affront to our friends within their Ward.

--- Laurent Stance via Mabelle ---
Because meat pie hats are fine. This is fine.

--- Harlequins Stance via Hamish ---
Are we still expected to wear more than just socks and slippers? It so this still feels restrictive.

--- Amadeo Stance via Duarte ---
Socks with slippers? Such anathema. I dare say some have been denobled for less.

--- Crafters Guild Stance via Apollo ---
The artisans of the Crafters' Guild welcome those seeking socks or sandals or any combination of footwear they like. Those seeking meatpie hats will have to inquire after art rather than fashion.

Some say that the Compact is focused on trivialities that expose it to corruption and ruin, but clearly they are mistaken.
