A Final Offer
Posted by Fatima on 01/10/24
To the people of Arvum,
We are grateful for the shelter you have provided to us over the years, sometimes at the risk of your very lives. The Prophet of the Sands and the so-called Dune Emperor have long hunted those of us from Eurus, but no longer will we hide in fear.
We thank, too, those of you who have fought for the freedom of the Skal'dajan people. We thank House Valardin as well. You know why. We thank the Compact for its friendship, for giving of itself. We thank House Thrax, and House Pravus, both of whom have been a great support.
The Compact is an ally, and some are family through blood and marriage. These ties bind us, and our fates are intertwined. The choice to leave these shores has not been an easy one, but we have deemed it necessary. Not only are we following a life-long dream of a free Eurus. It is necessary to your survival, too.
As we prepare to sail for Eurus, we wish to make one final offer of aid. Any who are seeking to leave the shores of Arvum may come with us. Those who cannot enter Arvum, may join us. We have assembled a fleet of tens of thousands. Our fleet will remain in the Bay of Thrax some little while longer. We make the call to any who wish to leave, as well as to those who are fleeing from the chaos of the Undying Empire, or the fires of Cardia, or have no homes to return to. Come with us, liberate the Eurusi from beneath the thumb of Tyranny, and become a part of the other side of this story.
We understand, however, that many of you will stay to defend your home, and that which MUST be defended. We wish you every success as we seek to do our part across the sea. Let us not make the mistake of the Reckoning of long ago. Some must stay. Some must go. Some of you will know what is meant by this. Arvum does not stand alone.
In faith and friendship,
Fatima Masah'Malak Thrax
