There is much to do and little time to do it. These will be our words on the matter before we set ourselves to the task.

If unable to safely answer these summons then it is expected you will see to your own safety, may the Pantheon and Three watch over you. Seek shelter in a significant fortification and lend your aid. If you find yourself in Arx then fight tooth and nail to hold it for the Compact; consider it an extension of your Duty. If Arx falls, then everything falls.
The people of Ostria are to be armed and trained; we all fight or none of us fight another day. Knighthoods will be laid upon the shoulders of those who volunteer their service and all the respect and adulation that comes with such an honor. Veterans are recalled to service at their prior rates and commissions to illustrate the urgency. Please, grant us your experience once more.
Those incapable of defending our home will be ferried to Pinnacle. It once served as a bastion among the storm and it will serve in such a capacity again.

The Hydra has worked since the Age of Songs to strengthen Ostria and perform its Duty. From its walls, martial might, commerce, faith, forging of alliances and more we have built and built upon our strengths. We did not desire to connect the Walled City to the Great Road for fear of this very event: an invasion. The ground we give will be in the interest of further crippling and destroying an enemy that seeks the eradication of not only ourselves, but our very existence. They will not contend with the fearful, but the mighty who are prepared to defend their beloved home and those who require our protection.
