I dun fucked up

I believe fully in the strength of humanity. Of our ability to overcome anything that we need to, be it something as simple as raising a barn or as insane as facing down a demon summoned in blood. I've seen with my own eyes how strong we are, what we will do for family, friends, and duty. I've seen our ability to come together and do amazing things. I've hear the stories as we all have growing up. Of Alarice, of Valeria, of each hero of each house. How we take what is in front of us and overcome it. We as a group, the compact, humanity, we'll survive this and come out the other side stronger.
I wish I could say that is what I said to the elves. I wish I could say I told them that the compact is strong and will survive anything, that like Valeria rallying the tribes of the north we will come together and make something great.
I didn't say that though. Instead I poked at the elves. All the doubts about the alliance, justifications for distrust, reasoning behind the comment, it really doesn't matter. What matters is I threw away the loyalty to my house on a whim. A house I dedicated my life to serve and have served through good and bad my whole life. Threw away the name of my high lord, my cousin, my friend for some offhand comment. What matters is that I took guests of the compact and treated them as less than that. Guests are guests, be it the history of the north, the rules of the gods, or common human decency, any way you put it what I did was a violation of one of the most important aspects of the compact, our traditions, and beliefs. And I violated all of that.
In the end I dedicate myself to service of the compact to make amends. I put my blade to the side until called upon specifically by house or nation, and will in turn do as asked by my house to prove my loyalty once more. I insulted the honor of my house, of the compact, and for that I'm sorry and hope that over time I can be a small part in making things right once more.
