Battle of the Night Grove

People have been interested in answers on the matter of what happened with Lady Dawn and those in her escort went out to address the matter of the Teind. I do not speak for the Regent Council, but I do speak for myself and have permission from Her Highness to address some of these matters.
I can confirm that my men fought alongside the Nox'Alfar to keep the army of Silence away from the ritual. I can also confirm that the rituals aftermath killed and swept away thousands of assaulters as what remained of the Crimson Blades watched on later. Whatever this ritual does, it utterly anniliated thousands of them upon completion.
I can also confirm that Dawn was *rejected* by the King of the Nox'Alfar when she volunteered to be the first to be sacrificed. Why this is so, I cannot say. I can only tell the people of the Compact what Lady Dawn and my own man have told me. Instead, the Kings Own and the Countess were sacrificed, while the Crimson Blades and the Nox'alfar held the line against the army.
I was requested to make this proclamation on behalf of Her Highness, and took it upon myself to relate matters to help give people a sense of perspective about this whole affair. I am not legally or politically aligned with Her Highness in any manner. Indeed, the contract that ended up having my men escort her into the Forest was not even hers.
I can also say that speaking for myself, that I am proud of the performance of my men at the Night Grove. Regardless of any other feelings around the event, they deserve commendation for doing as well as they did; as a Crimson Blade is trained to do.
Tobias Telmar.
Lord General of the Crimson Blades
