No Mercy For Traitors

Posted by Margot on 06/10/17

Of late there has been much discussion regarding punishments in the Mourning Isles and Saffron Chain - what is permissible and what is humane. As a young girl I witnessed my own parents, siblings and cousins many of whom were children flayed and crucified. I wish to be clear, entirely that I, more than most understand exactly the horror of these punishments. I also wish it to be entirely clear when I state that traitors will not be afforded anything approaching 'humane treatment' in the north.

Traitors shall hence forth be crucified with their skins in tact, for the ocean, elements, or predatory animals to take them as they please. Be clear this is not for fear of blood shed, but as in the north a skinless traitor would expire far quicker than we feel is appropriate. May they suffer long for their crimes and die slowly. Tyde has no mercy for traitors, and all shall witness as much.

All other executions by Tyde for lesser crimes than treason shall be by drowning, as water, cold and gripping is no shortage in our lands.
