Whereas many of our subjects in the lands and domain of House Stonewood are under the protection of the King's justice and the laws of the Compact, so too does this extend to the frontier. After various disorderly, treasonous acts of execution-style murder, the Abandoned tribes in the County of Cedar Vale were put to the sword and dispensed rightful justice. The crisis has since been settled and locating any remaining heirs to the ruling House of that region has been without success. All were slain or lost to worse fates than that and while the County of Cedar Vale had not paid it's taxes nor respected the laws of their Liege - all rights to the lands, incomes and domains have become forfeit. We of Stonehearth are bound by law to aid and assist in the suppression of such rebellion and to disclose and make known all traitourous conspiracies and attempts against the Crown and our dignity. We do strictly charge the next ruler of the County to enforce the laws of the Compact as well as House Stonewood amd to transmit to one of our Ministers or other proper Officers in the Wardens any and all correspondence with or in any manner aiding or abetting of all persons in open arms or rebellion against our governance. Lord Gailin of House Stonewood has been named ruler of this County, and with it a new House. On this third day of the sixth month of the year one thousand and seven, through the powers invested in us to do so (and by name of his own design) Lord Gailin Stonewood shall henceforth be known as Count Gailin Fireviper of Cinder County, with all the rights, titles and authority such an appointment infers. In addition, the Count or Countess Fireviper will be appointed as Warden-Commander of the Gray River Wardens 22nd Infantry division with the option to forgo military service when /not/ in a time of open war waged in the name of the Crown.
