In our time of hardship

In our time of hardship and with war soon to be waged a stone's throw from our shores, it is the decision of the Crown and His Majesty's Exchequer that taxation on the Great Houses of the Compact be raised. As tradition dictates, the fealties of House Valardin, House Thrax, House Grayson, House Redrain and House Velenosa are hereby charged to commit one thirteenth of their totals incomes to the King and Compact.
As we stand together to share in these burdens, so to will we remain and once more thrive after the victories to come.
