Sanctuary

Q:This is very much a technical theological point, and the outcome is practically the same. The House of Solace and other healing places run by the Mercies and Solace, obviously these are holy places and come under the Petrichorian notion of Sanctuary but do they also come under the Sanctuary of Silver in a more permanent form than maybe we see in its invocation in the field? Is it offending two gods? Secondly, if this is the case, does this have any impact on sanctuary? Is there functional differences between Petrichorian Sanctuary and the Gildian notion of Sanctuary of Silver? Finally as an extra credit, are threats of violence or attempted violence breaches, or is that going to depend on the path of Faith? Lycene I imagine would see crime in the act, Orthodox more to intent?

A: There's no practical differences save that typically which god is mentioned first when consecrating the area, which in terms of faith dogma could be interpreted as primacy over the consecrated area with sanctuary. Aside from that, no functional differences.

Typically threats are seen as boorish and a crass breach, but threats of implicit violence are never answered with violence itself by the Faith until it is clearly imminent and other attempts to pause it have been taken. Lycene interpretations are more about the letter, while Orthodox about the spirit and more strict, but in both forms you still have a Faith with a powerful aversion to spilling blood on hallowed ground unless all other measures have been exhausted. Someone that murdered an individual and broke sanctuary could be summarily executed, but even that is generally performed outside of Sanctuary itself, to avoid further desecration, but defending Sanctuary is always permissible.
