Karadoc arrived, and picked through the pile of plushies, till he found one he was pleased with, having dug nearly to the bottom for it. He grinned, and walked off, looking around to see the others.
Ainsley has joined the Field.
Estaban has joined the Field.
Silas has joined the Field.
Karadoc has joined the General Seating.
Calaudrin has joined the Field.
Alis has joined the Field.
Belladonna has joined the General Seating.
Prince Mason makes his way in, dark eyes skimming around over the milling crowds and various items on display. He *does* snag a plushie from the pile, because they're adorable and he has a toddler at home. He also stops at the 50/50 stand and gets some tickets. Then the Grayson will just move to the High Booth and sit down to watch things.
Mira, the curvy, redheaded lawyer of Merchant Road, arrives at the Tournament Grounds dressed for the heat. She's wearing a light crimson blouse, unbuttoned several buttons down and a short skirt that swishes at mid thighs. Her black boots rise to just below the knees, and a black silk choker circles her throat with a dull red stone set at the center. Her fox-colored hair is mostly waves and fluff, with two arched bangs in front and a foxtail tied into it in the back with a black ribbon.
Almost immediately after arriving, Mira gasps and bounces over to the furniture on display, her blue eyes wide behind her glasses and her ruby lips parted in shock. "It's so gorgeous!" Mira especially hovers around the bed, looking all over it, bending and ducking and crouching and twisting as she inspects the sheets, woodwork, everything.
2 Faith of the Pantheon novice guards, Bern, a quiet acolyte, Bill the shaggy delivery pony arrive, following Gisele.
Heavy thumping footsteps sounded off as the giant Thraxian High Lord stepped into the tournament grounds. For once, his glowering expression was not what he greeted the day with. Rather, Victus' face held the faintest hint of a smirk just barely curling at the edges of his mouth. He came without a retinue of guards, instead carrying his fluffy feline friend Lilybelle beneath his arm like a keg of booze. The cat looked much less enthused to be there, its amber eyes looking especially displeased at the amount of fake dogs hovering on everyone's arms. Its stubby legs flailed about and it mewled in displeasure, but Victus did not seem to care as he moved to take his seat.
Esoka has joined the Field.
Merek has taken his time to come and pick up the plushie and any other goods. Otherwise he seems a bit tired and just settles in to watch for the time being.
Armel has joined the Field.
Thena has joined the Field.
Gisele has joined the High Booth.
Merek has joined the Quiet Booth.
Ender, a Silver Gyrfalcon arrives, following Marian.
Ender, a Silver Gyrfalcon have been dismissed.
Tikva buys some raffle tickets, snags a plushie, and then strolls through the crowd in an array of shining silver silk, looking almost gaudy in her unaccustomed grandeur. She is also wearing slightly more makeup than usual. She waves to a friend in the crowd, and then hurries up through the rows to hunt her down before she can escape!
Tikva has joined the High Booth.
Ford has joined the General Seating.
Calaudrin wields an elegant rubicund longbow with reinforced tips.
Gisele slips in, a dot of brilliant white against the spectacle of colour that is every tournament. She wisps through the crowds, ascending to the unlikely destination of the high booth, there to settle beside Prince Mason.
Victus has joined the High Booth.
Thena gets The Greatest Bow Ever from a double wrap sword belt made of quality leather.
Ryder the falcon, Matteo, 3 Malvici Guards arrive, following Calypso.
Bear, an giant dog, Squee, the Flying Squirrel, Brigid, Calypso arrive, following Darren.
Calaudrin wields The Greatest Bow Ever.
Leta arrives at the tournament grounds dressed for fighting. Not the hat, the hat's not for fighting, it's for looking flashy. To be fair, her armor's pretty good at that, in its own simple, hodge-podge yet colorful way. Her shiny helmet is tucked under one arm, and soon enough she's got a plush corgi tucked under the other as she wanders out to the field, whistling a cheerful little tone. She offers nods all around. "Good day!"
Esoka arrives, armor polished and wearing a surcoat bearing the back-to-back herons of House Riven. Her eyes rest on Tikva, and her shining silver silk. Brows arching. She clears her throat, giving her head a little shake, and offers her friend a bright wave. Then mingles into the crowd, working her way down to mill around the tournament field.
Estaban wields Lion's Reach.
Leta has joined the Field.
Ysbail has joined the High Booth.
Alis wields Bright Blue Flames Steel Longsword.
It is perhaps not a good day to be one of Belladonna's guards; she is certainly not carrying the plushie she selected, after all. The little Duchess has set herself up in the general seating where she can get a reasonably good view, though the bulk of her attention is for the moment on the others settling in and finding themselves places to sit. She has a flask in hand, though it's a dainty little thing that's not being held up, save for when she's drinking from it. Easy to spot.
Aiden Grayson has been wrangled in to help with the fundraiser! He's around the 50/50 ticket booth and helping manage that, because with so much silver at stake, someone needs to stand over the pot of growing money. He's dressed up as well as he can be but is soon swamped with helping at the raffle tickets booth so he certainly doesn't have time currently to say Hi to everyone who walks by.
Ford stops on his way in when someone hands a program off to him. As he takes it he makes his way down to a seat and side steps his way in, there are a few 'scuse me's and 'pardons'. A whole lot. But he eventually parks it.
Armel wields Ogre's Fist, a giant steel sword.
Calypso arrives with prince Darren, glancing about as she sees the festivities in the midst of being arranged. She turns to him to ask. "Beverage tent first, your Grace?"
Darren comes strolling onto the Tournament Grounds with a mountain of a dog on one side and Lady General Calypso on the other. "You read my mind!" he says to her, laughing a little as he angles them to the tent. "I hope they sell whiskey.."
Shortly behind Ford, Edward steps in and steps out of the way of traffic. He smiles and looks around to take in the tournament grounds and then he looks towards those gathering. Seeing faces new and old he gives a nod and then begins to make his way over to the seating to find himself a place settle in.
Marian arrives at the event dressed in her new high quality leather armor designed by Mistress Joslyn. The white leather gleems in the sun she moves through the crowd, her dragon helm almost making her look like a living, breathing dragon as she walks through the crowds. She looks around for Baron Silas, wanting to let him know that she's there and ready to fight when he needs her to.
Darren has joined the the Beverage Tent.
Calypso has joined the the Beverage Tent.
Ysbail comes traipsing into the training grounds, at least dressed nicely this time around. She has her corgi plushie plucked up and tucked under one arm before glancing around and moving quickly to over to where Victus has ggone. She glances aside to the field where the contestants are joining in, lifting a wave towards Armel and offering him a bright smile as she scampers up into the high booth and slips carefully through until she can seat herself next to the High Lord of Thrax, leaning forward to smile at Lilybelle as well before asking something of the large man holding her.
Marian has joined the Field.
Walking on on Oak with the rest of his bodyguards behind him, Tobias stations the Crimson Blade horses just outside of the grounds at the troughs, before he walks in himself. Taking a brief moment to survey the grounds, the bald Lord General starst to walk over and inside, heading over to the prizes to look them over. "Almost makes me want to join in the combat rounds. Almost." Tobias comments idly to no one in particular. Then Mira gets his attention, and he raises a brow.
Mira eventually stops fussing over the beauty of the prized bed up for auction and instead moves on to fussing over all the other gorgeous pieces, like the Armoire. Mrring and rising onto the balls of her feet, the girl in the black-and-red plaid miniskirt nods several times to herself as she inspects the drawers, the top, the footings... Her skirt swish-swishes about as her hips tilt and list left and right thoughtfully as she goes. Finally folding her arms under her chest, Mira hrms and nods, moving on to the dresser on display.
Marian wields a wickedly curved shortsword with a bloodstained hilt.
Ainsley is dressed in gleaming steel with griffin's and swords on them. His helm is one so only his bright silver eyes are visible. He's wandered out to the field and waiting. Testing a steel sword that is unfamiliar to him.
Armel flicks a little wave in return to Ysbail, and spares one for Gisele and a couple others as well, they can decide who they are. He seems ready to fight, drawing forth his steel sword and letting the tip rest lightly in the dirt as he waits patiently for the match to begin
Calaudrin is here! Wearing the exact same armor that he wears everyday! How exciting! However, he has his old bow instead of the rubicund. He waves at wherever Thena is. "Thanks for my stuff!" Then he just sort of stands around and waits for this to start.
Edward has joined the General Seating.
Alis has apparently been following Marian through the city and to the Tournament Grounds, and not in a stealthy manor since she's decked out in her steel armor. That she is also Valardin is obvious by the draconic themed helm, if the blue and white color and tabard weren't already enough. Clink, clink, clink. "You walk awful fast in leathers. Wait up, Marian!" She does grab a plushie though, stuffing it into her pack along the way. Cause she is not leaving without one.
Merek has left the Quiet Booth.
Aneka have been dismissed.
3 Iron Guardsmen have been dismissed.
Meeka have been dismissed.
Silas arrived early, naturally, to set up things before the event truly gets underway! He's not dressed in his typical rubicund armor -- and his former suit is up for auction -- so he's clad in a standard Iron Guard steel uniform. Several prizes for the auction are out for display to entice the auction-goers, and Aiden has been roped into managing the Raffle while Silas is off fighting! He proceeds onto the field when he finds the others gathered there.
"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for attending the Iron Guard Fundraiser. We will open with something exciting -- a fight! Between the Iron Guardsmen and valiant warriors of the Compact. Please be seated and enjoy!" Silas looks to the others once he joins the field, particularly their opponents. "I will give you five minutes for you folks to formulate a strategy, if you wish."
Mira has joined the General Seating.
Merek frowns a bit, "Anyone have a mid-sized blade I can borrow?" he asks, as he moves to where the others are of the guard.
Karadoc gets The Gentle Death from Saik Belt.
Sparte glances at one of the pommels extending from his back then over to Merek. He gives the other guard a helpless shrug.
The 50/50 booth is starting to settle down after the main rush of people have come through and Aiden leaps up onto a stool, where a board has been posted so he can adjust the number on it. He flips some numbers on which looks like a pinched betting board, turning the number to total pot: 23,500! Which means the winner will take half, at {20 11,750!!
Rickard has joined the General Seating.
Mira huffs and turns with a swish and flare of her skirt as the announcement is made and people are told to be seated. Mira smiles and waves to Silas as she departs from the auction area, climbing up into the general seating benches.
Esoka offers Calaudrin a wave and big, toothy grin when she spots him. Shouting a chipper, "Gloria favors the bold, First Officer!" Then, she scans about for the others involved in this little fracas. Eyes bright as she takes a place near Armel. "Ah! Grandmaster! This should be bracing!"
Merek wields an impressive one-handed, double edged sword.
Estaban is here as well not in his leather armor today nope he is dressed in his steal Iron Guard armor, he stands with the ret of the Iron huard with his bow in his hand. He looks around at everyone gathering then to Merek, watching to see if he gets a weapon then looks to see who they will be going up against.
Posted: Currently the the 50/50 jackpot is 23,500!!
Armel flicks his greatsword through a couple loops, his expression now hidden behind his thick helm, only the gleam of his one silver eye visible. "Should be interesting, at least. Figure we're done on organization, them all being Guard, but we'll manage." He seems to be eyeing all of his opponents.
Edward shifts so that it is easy for Mira to slip past if she comes his way and he gives her a smile before he looks over to Rickard and gives him a motion, indicating seating available near him in the general seating area.
With the announcement of seating, Tobias heads up into the benches, taking one nearby the actual grounds as he relaxes against the back.
Rickard makes his way over, and settles in next to Edward, leaving room for Mira should she decide to join them. He stretches luxuriously and observes the goings-on with rapt curiosity.
Tobias has joined the General Seating.
"Not a fucking draft horse," Thena notes with asperity as she hands off the bow and drops an armload of steel armor at the side of the field before extracting a carisack from the pile and crouching on the sidelines, laying out neat rows of bandages and jars of stuff and things while the festivities kick off around her.
Leta wields a two handed longsword of good steel with an ornate copper inlaid pommel.
Leta stops at the field, "Strategy? Right." she smiles, then bows her head to the fighters over at her side of things, and carefully removes her hat. She sets the plush corgi down on a seat, then puts her hat atop the corgi's head, and returns the fray, tossing her helmet up in the air and grabbing it. Then she draws her sword and rests it over one shoulder, looking to the others on her side of the fray, then to the opponents. "I say we hit them and don't let them hit us." she advises.
"That's my plan," Armel quips back roughly, squaring up next to Esoka and raising his blade into a guard position.
Merek twirls around the sword he has been handed, then he takes a stance and holds it with both hands, shifting it to the side a small bit in preperations for the combat.
Merek puts an adorable corgi plushie in a backpack made of black leather.
Calypso watches as the fighters begin to come together. Spotting Aiden among the crowd she places a small pouch of silver in his hands. "Your Highness." She greets as she does this, before retreating back in to the refreshments tent.
Esoka snorts to Leta's strategy, but it's an approving sort of snort. "I think I can manage that." She smiles broad, expression full of flashing teeth, and offers a knightly salute to the Iron Guards they face. The raised sword is turned to salute the crowd, before she assumes a fighter's stance.
Karadoc has left the General Seating.
1 Saik Guard, A Cat, Bodyguard leave, following Karadoc.
The Warlord of Thrax makes his arrival. No fancy axes or armor. Just the kiss of high quality steel. No different from those he commands. Abbas makes his way to spectate. Dreadlocks fall over his shoulders and he carries his helm in the crook of his left arm.
Aiden looks to Calypso as she comes up to the booth for the 50/50 raffle, watching the small pouch of silver be handed over to the assistants who begin to weigh it and certainly measure it's worth to hand over tickets in response. It goes into a locked chest behind them surrounded by Iron Guardsmen. "Good day Minister," he grins at the amount handing over the tickets, "Good luck with the draw! Thank you for the support."
Abbas has joined the General Seating.
1 Saik Guard, A Cat, Bodyguard arrive, following Karadoc.
Merek has joined the Field.
Silas smirks lopsidedly at their opponents as they appear to eschew strategy! At least at the onset. "Very well." The Lord Commander returns Mira's wave, then turns towards his team as they begin to get into position. "Are we all set, then? Don't be afraid to yield if things get too dire. I don't want this Fundraiser to have that distinction."
Merek takes a moment to nod towards Silas a bit, while he prepares his blade. Real combat in a tournament setting. It's new to him! He looks down at the sword, then back up, "Ready," he calls aside, while he shifts his stance a bit lower.
Karadoc puts The Gentle Death in Saik Belt.
Marian gives a nod as Silas explains the rules of the fight, "And do we pair up with folks or is this a free for all." She looks to Alis to let her know that she means to watch her back and then gets into a fighting stance, testing her weapon to make sure she's ready for the fight to start.
Silas wields silver hued steel long sword wrapped in carmine leather.
Turo has joined the General Seating.
"Come see me if you start bleeding out," Thena calls to the grouping of fighters in a carrying tone, from her spot at the side of the field.
"It's a free-for-all, but what you choose to do is up to you," Silas answers Marian.
Alis hasn't used a sword in awhile; so she tests the weight of it again experimentally as she and Marian move into a mutually defensive position. "Ready." She smiles brightly of course, and murmurs to Marian in a quiet voice before the clash of steel starts.
"That, or we can form a wedge." Leta continues with a nod to Armel, grinning, and uses the toe of her boot to draw a rough triangle in the ground, "Always good fun, the wedge! Not enough folk to form a square, anyway." she adjusts the helm upon her head, glancing around within her limited field of vision. "I don't know. Trouble is, they know what they're good at, give or take, who's the hammer and who's the anvil and all that." she points to the treacherous Iron Guard just ahead in good-natured accusation. "It's not as fun as the wedge, but I reckon running at them's good too." Leta, low key tactical genius, eventually shrugs.
Carita has joined the Quiet Booth.
The Navegant Admiral arrives at the tourney grounds, Turo taking a look about the spectacle and moving towards the general seating area. No armor or harpoon for him, looks like he's just here to watch and take part in all the fun.
Karadoc has joined the General Seating.
Calaudrin's not much of a talker. Just flips his visor into position and waits for the word to get started. He gets his bow, readies an arrow and settles into a stance.
Estaban stands behind Silas watching the other teem rolling his shoulders some seeming to size the other team up, "Ready Calaudrin." he smirks and then looks back in front and gets ready for the fun.
Arrives, as though she has no intention on remaining much longer than it takes to play at being social. Carita finds herself a place to be, settles there, and watches the goings-on with occasional stray looks as she people-watches.
Alis takes serious damage.
A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Carita before departing.
Posted: The 50/50 jackpot jumps to 39,250!
Merek takes minor damage.
Alis takes minor damage.
Armel takes minor damage.
Ainsley takes minor damage.
Aiden once again jumps up on the stool at the 50/50 raffle ticket and flips more numbers. The jackpot is growing!! He slips off the stool and goes to poke his nose toward the tournament grounds, while there's a lull in ticket sales. His eyes shift from person to person, watching the scramble and the fighting. He winces a few times, seeing his friends and family well into it. His eyes spot Ainsley, Silas, Merek, Calaudrin, and Estaban in the bunch, but tracking their movements is done with considerable difficulty. "Come on Iron Guard!" Clearly he's rooting for the Iron Guard team!
Armel takes serious damage.
Alis takes moderate damage.
Nightshade, a tiny black kitten, Penelope, Ariadne, 3 Rubino and Zaffria guards arrive, following Dafne.
Ainsley takes serious damage.
Alis takes minor damage.
Dafne gets an adorable corgi plushie from an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.
Silas takes serious damage.
Alis takes minor damage.
Alis checked stamina, willpower + survival at difficulty 32, rolling 22 higher.
Alis remains capable of fighting.
Estaban takes moderate damage.
Merek comes into the event with his sword shifted from underhand to attempt to meet Esoka and Armel's armor, and while he is a clean shot, he doesn't have the strength in it. He additionally is side-swiped and takes a small slash on his right arm, while he makes a sound and leaps back, twirling his weapon in preperation of the next meeting of weapons.
Armel does /not/ start out the fight on a good foot. Estaban seems to focus on a point somewhere on Armel's chest, and seems determined to smack the knight's armor until he reaches it. At first, he's put on the back foot, but quickly finds his rhythm after a few nasty hits, his enormous greatsword and thick armor angling away strike after strike, hurt but not out of the running yet.
Gisele gets an adorable corgi plushie from an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.
Esoka gets in there and mixes it up with a high-pitched cry of battle-glee. Whether she's fighting with any coordinated strategy is an open question, but she's one of the warriors who converges on Ainsley. Shooting that big grin at Marian and Alis as she gets to it. She's a blunt instrument of a fighter, and as much punches with her sword as cuts at his defenses. Not all of it lands, but she keeps on plugging away. She has to twist and turn to parry Merek's sword strokes, grunting as she takes a breath, and tries to assess the field.
Tikva gets an adorable corgi plushie from an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.
Unlike some, Calaudrin doesn't have a lot of great showy moves for his efforts. His procedure involves side-stepping frequently and keeping someone else in between him and the worst of the combat. He takes several well aimed shots at Marian that seem to inevitably end up hitting Alis instead, which causes grumbles and cursing as he re-aims and tries again.
Silas positions himself in front of Estaban and raises his sword in a guard position. For the most part people seem to avoid attacking him! At first. Then there was Leta, who decides to be different. While Silas focuses his attention on trying to pierce Armel's solid defense, while simultaneously covering Estaban, she manages to land a hard blow on his side which nearly knocks him off balance. This leaves Estaban momentarily exposed! "Oow," he utters, but scrambles forward to retake his position.
Ainsley fights with a surprise grace for a man in full plate armor. Ducking out of the way of swings, parrying away swords, and keeping his body infront of Calaudrin's. He attempts to get at Marian but instead finds himself up against Alis time and time again. He ducks out of a swing from Alis only to get clobbered by Esoka at least once or twice. And slashes toward Alis as Calaudrin fires behind him. His voice calls out to the other IG Lieutenant, "How are you doing, Cal?"
Marian originally puts her sights on Ainsley but when he successfully dodges her, and Alis gets hit by Calaudrin, she turns her attentions to him. However, Ainsley seems to be protecting Calaudrin so instead she keeps her sword to him as he gets between her and her target. On the most part, he's dodging her fury of blows but then she manages to slip past his guard to land a solid hit. She looks to Alis who's taking the brunt of the hits, "Stop protecting me...protect yourself." She then looks to Esoka and offers, "You get my back if I get yours?"
Estaban pulls his bow taunt when the fight starts, the man is behind Silas and the other Guardsman he picks a target and starts to lay arrow after arrow into Armel, he has seen the man fight and well yeah no way he wants to taste that sword in any way, shape or form. He tries to warn Silas of Leta but is to late and is hit tehre is a grunt from the tall Siak and pulls his bow ready again to start shooting this time moving some behind silas so as to not be a sitting target.
Aiden isn't in any of the seating for the tournament, standing close enough to man the raffle booth and keep tabs of all that silver, while at the same time managing to secure a view of the fighting grounds. His hands tighten into fists when he sees the warriors converging upon his brother, fingers twitching as if he should be strumming the fletching of an arrow between them. His eyes also note the circumstances of the Lord Commander, "Way to go Iron Guard!"
Carita has left the Quiet Booth.
Alis aparently has armor that likes to be hit, today. Calaudrin and his stupid arrows! Try as she might to get past Aisnley to stab the archer, there is Ainsley to beat her senseless on top of being pierced by arrows. "Y'think?" she comments, to her sister. "Edain will resurrect me and kill me again if I let myself get more injured; I'm stepping back. Show em how we fight, yeah?" At which point she gives a crisp bow to the fighters and steps aside so she doesn't get whacked again.
Mira suddenly pops up from her seat and shouts, hands cupped around her mouth, "GO SILAS, GO!" Cheering, as the battle rages, Mira suddenly gasps, hands over her mouth when Silas takes a bit hit. Shouting with furor, Mira shakes a fist, "Come on, keep moving! Go go go!" Mira winces and recoils a bit with a bounce as Armel takes a hit too, but nods as the Grandmaster seems to surge back into the battle. Then she points at Ainsley, the redhead not recognizing him in the armor, and commenting to Rickard and Edward, "Ooo, that one in the armor is good."
Leta's keen tactical mind, ahem, notwithstanding, she doesn't really seem to have much of a plan to start with. She advances into the fray in a carefully guarded stance, sword at mid-height to keep any enemies away from her. There's a quite a bit of range for that. Alternating foes as the ebb and flow of the melee turns around her, she just steps in to clash blades with whoever strikes her as needing a good wack. If there's any strategy to it, it's not immediately obvious, but she does get a good solid hit in on Silas, and a somewhat less solid hit on Estaban as they dance together, then steps back and looks over towards Alis, eyes narrowing behind the steel frame of her helmet. "Alright, strategy then!"
Rickard has left the General Seating.

Better late than never! Freja sneaks in apparently towards the end of things, making a beeline towards Calypso to murmur something in the other woman's ear.
Freja has joined the High Booth.
A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Alis before departing.
Edward stands up from the seating and he gives the Princess a nod and a smile as she looks his way and then he passes behind Mira as he begins to shuffle his way out of the area and starts towards the booth Prince Aiden is at.
Edward has left the General Seating.
Aiden hollars toward the tournament grounds, getting into it despite himself, "Come on Ainsley! Silas! Merek! Estaban! Calaudrin! Go Team Iron Guard!" He gets shoulder tapped though and has to step back to selling more raffle tickets, watching as the numbers of the 50/50 continue to climb. He whistles at the jackpot number, "Come on, we can reach 50,000 silver!" He looks toward the general seating and debates dangling tickets in front of people's noses, when he spots Edward coming toward him. "Lord Edward," he greets, "It's been some time. How're you enjoying the events thus far?"
Alis has poor Thena attempting to patch her up, when she receives a message and makes a face at it. "Okay, okay, tell her I'm on my way." she mutters to the messenger, and excuses herself; trying to leave unobtrusively.
Ford has left the General Seating.

Edward walks down to the booth Aiden is in with a smile on his face, "Your Highness, a superb event so far. I have enjoyed myself. You host very well...," he motions to the event, "And Baron Whitehawk too." he leans in against the booth while watching people and the fight.

Aiden glances toward the tournament grounds, seeing only the odd spot of action between all the people gathered, turning his gaze back upon Edward, "I enjoy myself, when raising funds for a good cause. I'm just helping today though, Baron Whitehawk did a lot of this himself with the help of the Iron Guards." He gives credit were credit is due. He looks toward the raffle draws wondering outloud, "Have you purchased any tickets for the 50/50 draw? The winner will actually get half of the total pot raised. It's quite exciting. We're nearly up to 25,000 silver for the winner." A beat, "Oh yes, and I received your letter about the Golden Hart. I've offered what I can for my support. I hope it helps."
Merek checked stamina, willpower + survival at difficulty 41, rolling 1 higher.
Merek remains capable of fighting.
Merek comes at Armel and manages to knock at his armor but does little else, then he comes around towards Esoka. Just as he does, it seems some successive blows of multiple sides knock him aloft, then a strike hits him and cleaves into his armor at his right side, spilling blood which then rolls down across his armor. He steps back and takes his sword in both hands, declaring, "Yield!" Then he steps back from the fight.
Edward smiles warmly to Aiden, "I appreciate it. It means a lot to me and will mean a lot to the Princess when I tell her." he motions, "This and the managerie. You should do an event out of the Hart next, Your Highness." he grins and takes a look around.
Esoka offers Alis a parting fist-to-chest with her off-hand as the Valardin knight yields from this field. Her sword arm, of course, is busy. Merek apparently attracted her attention, and he keeps it. She presses her attack on him, blue eyes shining. "Gloria's favors to us, Merek Black!" she calls joyously as she fights. She continues to use her sword more as a battering device than a cutting one. Harsh whacks, with all the strength her arms can muster. She nods give Marian a quick nod, keeping half an eye on the woman should she require aid. But, mostly, she concentrates on hitting. She isn't actually trying to do Merek real harm, though, and steps back on her heel after a particularly hard 'Thwack!' She offers him a bow, and knight's salute at the yield. "Well fought, and honors to the Iron Guard."
Armel checked stamina, willpower + survival at difficulty 8, rolling 45 higher.
Armel remains capable of fighting.
Merek has left the Field.
Aneka have been dismissed.
3 Iron Guardsmen have been dismissed.
Meeka have been dismissed.
Mira suddenly jumps up and gasps, eyes wide, "MEREK!" She looks horrified when Merek nearly goes down to a fatal blow, and lays a hand on her chest in cautious relief when he manages to cry yield. Letting out the breath she was holding, Mira whews, slumping a bit before suddenly shouting at the field, "Don't scare me like that, you goon!"
Silas continues to shield Estaban from whatever onslaught is directed his way, and appears to fare well in this regard! As Armel fatigues he finally begins to land blows, if only glancing. Then Leta steps in his way! He coughs, but pauses to offer a salute Merek's way when he yields. "Well done, Guardsman!"
Armel is trying his best to fend off Silas' blade, and to his credit, he manages it for quite some time, but Estaban is also taking potshots with his bow from back there, and the arrows /aren't/ tinking off, but sinking into his plate to a harsh grunt every so often from the Knight. Eventually, mere moments after Merek bows, Silas' blade finally causing him to declare, "I yield!" Loudly and step back, his breath hissing out as he leans on his sword for a few moments.
Merek chuckles and then salutes, "Gloria's honour!" he calls to the rest of them, and soon he steps back to let Thena treat him. He offers a cheer for Armel, while he settles back. To Mira he looks sheepish over in the distance to her, and smiles, "I'm fine!" He waits for the wound to be treated and tries not to move much.
"Well done, Merek!" Calaudrin calls out as the man yields. Somewhere in there, Leta manages to give him a solid whallop and he stumbles back from the impact. "See if I invite you to my birthday party." Sarcastic, mouthy grumblings under his breath. Then he diverts his shots from Marian to Leta, to see if he can make an impact on a different target. Valardin women are tough.
Marian is continues to whirl and dodge as she tries to get a few blows in. She salutes Armel as he starts to make his way off the field, joining Merek who also withdraws, "Good showing." She has respect for those that have shown themselves well in this rite to Gloria.
Karadoc grinned, and quietly called out, "Go dear cousin. Good show so far."
Aiden tips his head, "I thought it might mean a good deal to you both. There are many who are trying to raise funds for causes and we can only pick but a few when our pockets are tied to our own causes." He notes with an uplifted shrug, "I personally would like to donate to the Iron Guard, for I count many of them as my friends. However, much of what I have is invested with the menagerie at present. So my time will have to suffice for a donation." He offers a quick smile, "An event at the Hart? Certainly, once I've seen the Masquerade finished. You should come by the Menagerie soon. There's a marvelous magpie exhibit, just new to the park." He flags his hand and then drops his voice.
Estaban spots Merek yeilding and he nods to his fellow guardsmen then his eyes are on Armel as he continues to shoot the man, then he is yeilding as well. Estaban is behind Silas still moving about its how he shoots his bow he is a bow dancing fool he is! His eyes fall onto his next target in lets his next arrow fly.
Ainsley shifts his focus for several rounds. Attempting to get his sword at Leta when she sees her getting at Calaudrin. He doesn't seem able to land a hit, however. And instead after several rounds of frustration he turns toward Esoka, attempting to hit her with his sword. He's not having any luck hitting anyone ... but neither is anyone having any luck hitting the prince. He keeps himself between Calaudrin and others; parrying attacks, dodging, others, and simply shrugging off a few.
Thena is left holding a bandage end when Alis hurries off, shrugs, then gets a fresh one and tosses it from one hand to the other deftly as the combat goes on. When Merek quits the field she patches the wound up tidily. "Go find a proper Mercy type if this doesn't start feeling better in a day or so."
There is a nod to this, "Of course. I hope to attend your next Managerie event coming up but we shall see." he smiles and then he winces as Armel yields out. He yells, "GOOD SHOWING GRANDMASTER!" and then claps for the soldier before he smiles and turns back to Aiden. He tilts his head and listens nodding before he replies.
Mira winces as the Grandmaster yields as well, wringing her hands below her breasts as she watches Armel withdraw from the field. "This is getting tense..." She comments down to Karadoc, "I hope Gloria is watching. Such an awful battle out there..."
Aiden looks toward the field, drawn by Edward's yell, which has him note Merek and Armel both bowing out, "Oh ... is that blood?" He cringes at the thought, "I almost think I should take up learning to heal..." His eyes turning toward Merek, waving to the man if he can, before he turns back to Edward.
Leta took one good arrow from Estaban, buried deep enough in the padding of her armor that it's likely gone into flesh beneath. From then on, she seems rather intent on slipping past Silas's guard to land another hit on the bowman, though her sword largely glances off that armor. It's a melee, and it's terribly confusing, and suddenly she finds herself pelted with arrows from a couple of sides while Ainsley takes swings at her. After the arrow, she either sidesteps or parries every blow, or they glance harmlessly off her armor, but the chaos around her makes it hard to pick a target and stick with it. Seeing Armel hit again, she steps in front of him, but only, it seems, to cover his withdrawal.
Silas takes minor damage.
Marian takes minor damage.
The wound isn't as bad as it might have seemed since no one was aiming to maim, however it does seem Merek is now tired, and nods to Thena, "Thank you," he states, while he watches the battle, and leans back, pulling out his flask to drink from.
And waves back at Aiden.
Armel has left the Field.
Calaudrin takes moderate damage.
Ainsley takes serious damage.
Leta takes minor damage.
Estaban and Silas may may not have been aiming to maim Armel, but those /were/ real arrows and blades, and blood is leaking out from under his armor in a faintly alarming way. He snaps off several arrow shafts lodged in his armor and winces with most of them, implying they dug deep enough to actually hurt. He lifts a hand in a wave to those who cheered him out, calling out "Glory to Gloria and to the Iron Guard!" And then he's sitting his armored ass down (almost a fall, really) to let Thena take a peek at him, seeming exhausted and a bit pale.
Brogan has left the Quiet Booth.
Brogan has joined the General Seating.
Edward nods slowly, "It is. There are quite a few talented healers that you could ask for teaching. I can give you the names of a couple another time if you do not look before then." Edward smiles and looks back to the Prince.
Mason has left the High Booth.
Esoka offers a quick half-bow to Armel, as he exits the field. Her attention is too much on the fight to do anything else. She directs her efforts back on the Grayson prince, after Merek yields, throwing herself back at him with enthusiasm and momentum.
Thena sighs as an Armel-pile drops next to her and starts assessing the damage, applying bandages and such with some skill and much efficiency. This all ends with a firm, "Stay there until you look at little less like shit," and then prepares for the next patient.
Leta takes moderate damage.
Esoka takes serious damage.
Ainsley checked stamina, willpower + survival at difficulty 45, rolling 12 higher.
Ainsley remains capable of fighting.
Silas smirks and nods respectfully to Armel when he wisely yields, but quickly turns his attention to his next opponent: Leta! He advances and begins to throw his weight behind his attacks, but this only comes with middling results.
Thena has left the Field.
"Well Done, Grandmaster Armel, proud to say I had gotten drunk with you earlier!" Brogan bellows from his spot in teh General audience, clapping his thick hands togethter before his gaze turns once more to the ongoing fight.
Aiden regards Edward then back toward the fighting field, saying with a hint of mirth on his tone but a scowl on his expression, "Honestly... this just makes me want to take out a wooden spoon to wrap their knuckles with it..." He frowns at the melee, then turns his attention back to Edward, "That might be well and good in fact, if I have time to learn between juggling everything else." He then turns to Edward and dips his head, "Good night Lord Edward. A shame you cannot stay on further to see the auctions. Thank you for coming, all the same." He smile then, allowing the Lord his leave.
Armel grunts and takes the bandages until he is no longer actively bleeding. He spares a chuckle and a nod to Brogan as he manages to heft himself to his feet, wincing but moving /very/ carefully so as to not tear himself open even more. He quietly slips out now that Thena isn't staring at him.
Edward smiles to Aiden, "And you have a great evening as well Prince Aiden." he bows to the man and then he turns to slip out.
Estaban starts in on Leta now letting his arrows fly at her, he spots Ainsley yeilding and he calls to Caludrin, "Form up on me!" he calls to his fellow archer. Perhaps the man is getitng flash backs of fighting back to back with the young prince, he is not going to give up so easily.
Criers ring out between all the melee excitement: "Don't miss out on your chance to win thousands of silver! Get your tickets! For a 50/50 draw! The jackpot will be split in half, where the winner takes home the silver and so does the Iron Guard for their fundraiser!" The jackpot remains at a cool 42,750 silver.
Ainsley takes a hit -hard- from Esoka. It's so fact he seems to be seeing stars. He staggers a moment, and shakes his head. His sword dropped down. A small hiss is given and he attempts to disengage from the fight.
"Come on, woman!" Calaudrin flips his visor up so he can more clearly articulate his next to Esoka: "First you want to bare-knuckles fight me, make me walk your dog, now you're in front of my arrows?" It lacks the fire of true ire as he quickly steps out of the way -gets a solid knock against him again, ow, that hurts- and plucks away at Marian once more. It's more like a loud, grumbly complaint at being thwarted. Then Ainsley yields and he quickly utters, "That's unfortunate. Good work, lieutenant!" He hears Estaban's call and retreats in that direction.
When Ainsley finally yields the odds for them get considerably worse! Silas seems to dig his heels further into the ground and he looks over his shoulder at Estaban. "Alright, I'm gonna get a work out. You try to stay on your feet." He looks over to Ainsley when he begins to retreat. "You did great, Ainsley!" All things considered.
Esoka steps hastily back from Ainsley, holding up a hand when she sees his sword drop. She's not the only warrior banging on him, after all. She offers the Grayson prince a quick fist-to-chest. "Well fought, and Gloria's honors to you, Highness." And then she's back in things. Calaudrin is turned to, and she barks out a loud, trilling laugh at him when his arrow hits. And is absorbed by her steel. "Have to hit me harder than that." She tips her visor up to wink at him.
Marian is more than willing to distract the Iron Guards into attacking her so that her team mates can get a few hits in. She raises her sword to Ainsley as he exits, acknowledging his valient showing at the event.

"How about that hard?" Called no particular Iron Archer.
Mira shouts with one hand cupped and the other pointing forward, "GO, SILAS! You can win it!" Jumping up and down a few times, Mira cheers and whistles, "Get them! For Gloria!" Coming to a rest, Mira fluffs back her hair over her shoulder and adjusts her glasses, nodding as she plants a fist on her hip, as if she actually contributed to the battle.
Estaban takes very serious damage.
Leta takes minor damage.
Calaudrin checked stamina, willpower + survival at difficulty 4, rolling 40 higher.
Calaudrin remains capable of fighting.
That's what he gets for being mouthy with Esoka. It's his reward. Calaudrin takes the knee after one serious hit with her sword and drops his bow, "Yield!" And then he's just going to crawl away.
Esoka winces as one of Calaudrin's arrows does, actually, cause her pain. Well, he has her attention now. She turns and launches herself, bodily, at the First Officer. It's a rush, and her sword-arm is arched back to aim a solid hit at him. When he yields, she offers him a bow. "That was a good shot. You should have shot me more earlier. Gloria's honors to you, First Officer."
Silas moves to attempt to protect Calaudrin when it appears he's in trouble, but the abyss hath no fury like a woman scorned. Esoka gets to the poor man before he does and he looks somewhat nonplussed for a few long seconds before he returns to a significantly more wounded Estaban. "Okay so that plan didn't work..." He salutes to Calaudrin. "Good work, Lieutenant!"
Estaban was trying to help protect Calaudrin but its to much when he is able to hit Leta a couple more times she is able to come in and get a really good shot on him there is a growl and a grunt as the Guardsman takes a step back then aims his bow dead on the woman ready to let it fly.
Marian continues to whirl and dodge as people try to attack her. While she's unable to land any blows, no blows also land on her. She is enjoying the vigorous exercise, trying to protect Esoka and Leta where she can.
Aiden moves closer to watch the action, his arms holding across his stomach as he notes that his brother is out, then Calaudrin is out. Then he notices the condition that Estaban is in and scowls, "There's no giant this time! Estaban! Don't take risks!" He grumbles to himself, "I can find a wooden spoon and I'll use it."

Leta's invincible. Or she seems convinced that she's invincible, even though she looks rather like a porcupine, if porcupines had the pointy ends aimed inward. It's mostly arrows in her, a lot of blood soaking through her padding. But she's a knight, and all the good knights in the stories keep fighting until there's rivers of blood or someone is cloven in twain. Hopefully there won't be any cleaving in twain. She's put Ainsley down while trying to get at Calaudrin, then thumped Calaudrin. And when Silas stepped in to cover Calaudrin, Leta went for the other archer, with a very violent blow to Estaban. But then she takes yet another arrow, and staggers back, starting to look a little pale. "Alright, alright..." she grunts and holds up a gauntlet, "...afraid my Iron Guard would kick my ass if I died."
Esoka focuses her attack on Silas, now that the field is winnowing, though she can't //quite// get past the Lord Commander's defenses. She moves to fight at Marian's shoulder, to offer some defense to the Sword of Sanctum. The other woman is flashed a quick grin. She's still loving this, even if she'll have many bruises (and a few cuts) to show for it tomorrow. Leta gets a quick salute as she exits the field.
Silas is panting, the effort of having to move around so much in that steel suit clearly taking it's toll. Thankfully, however, through all the relatively minor hits Leta finally yields -- and one particularly well-aimed arrow from Estaban -- and Silas breathes in a sigh of relief. "Great work, Dame Leta. As always." He then fixates his attention on the two other warrior ladies still standing. "Alright, Estaban... keep aiming that thing so well!" He advances onto Esoka, but Marian gets in the way of his blow. All the same, he thinks, and he begins to attack the Valardin princess instead. His defense begins to crumble - gradually - under the weight of the fatigue... but he's still going!

Aiden was watching on. The field had gone down to four, two of which mean a lot to him. He mutters something under his breath. He looks toward the audience in the general seats but decides to remain standing instead of hawking more tickets that way. "Come on SILAS! Come on Estaban!"
Turo has left the General Seating.
Ulf arrives, following Fergus.
Esoka throws herself, bodily, at Silas. Like a wrecking ball. She does not, however, break him. She //does// break herself against him, and ends up sprawled on the ground. Panting and bruised and bleeding. A fist is held up.
Victus stands up and roars from the high seats, "FUCK THEM UP MARIAN. FUCK THEM UP!"
Esoka says, "I yield, Lord Commander. Well fought!"
Esoka checked stamina, willpower + survival at difficulty 15, rolling 21 higher.

Esoka has left the Field.
Marian is the last one standing on the noble side. She grins as Victus gives her a yell of encouagement. She buckles down to continue to fight the two men that are now ganging up on her.
Silas is going after Marian when Esoka literally throws herself at him... and gets in the way of the trajectory of his attack. He -blinks- hard and peers down at Esoka in concern. "Uh... good work, Dame Esoka!" Alas, Marian was still right there, attacking him... so he's a little distracted.
By the time she arrives, Sophie's not entirely sure what is going on, save that word keeps coming to the House of Solace that it would probably be prudent for a Mercy to be on the premises. So it is she makes her way towards the medics the Iron Guard already has on hand to inquire how she might be of best assistance.
Estaban is panting hard now he is doing his best to move around in his armor it is not easy to do so when trying to shoot a bow, but he is keeping it up staying behind Silas and shooting at Mariana.
Marian checked stamina, willpower + survival at difficulty 30, rolling 17 higher.
Marian remains capable of fighting.
Fergus heard there was going to be an auction, but nothing about a fight. Seems like he missed the majority of it. Walking up to the barrier between the fighting grounds and the stands, he crosses his arms over his chest, giving perhaps a somewhat unexpected look at the fact that Marian is one of the last standing and holding her own. Bit of a nod of approval in her direction, watching on.
Victus makes a quick addendum to his original statement, "THAT IS NOT HOW YOU FUCK THEM UP! GAAAH!" He hits back into his seat with a grumble.
Leta, not quite dead yet, drags herself and her sword and her many new arrows off the melee field, then sits down heavily to wait for the healers. She removes her helmet, sets it aside, then slowly removes her gauntlets from her shaky hands. She stares at the field of battle, looking a little dazed as she tosses her gauntlets aside, then looks down at all the pointy things sticking out of her armor. "Well shit." she says. Then, noticing Sophie nearby, she clears her throat and corrects herself, "Pardon me! Not shit. I mean - right."
Karadoc grinned, watching, giving a nod and a cheer as victory seemed to be in grasp. "Well done." He gave a nod, "Well done."
Marian takes that last hit and then gives the field to Silas and Estaban, bowing to both to let them know she is yielding the floor to the guard. Her smile is big, even if a little pained as she turns to make her way off the field, "I am defeated!" She has a sense of humor about the whole matter, not minding that the battle is over. She did her best in the fight.
Esoka has just quit the field just now. She takes her helmet off, //beaming//. And also bleeding, but she's able to leave under her own power. She finds a place off to the side, near Leta, to wait until a medic can attend to her. "Good little fight, that!" A bow - albeit a pained one - is aimed in Marian, Esteban, and Silas' direction.
"Good! Maybe I'll have a fucking chance now!" Fergus calls over to Marian once she announces her pulling out of the fight.
Calaudrin is sitting, propped up against a bench. He tried putting a bandage over one of his own wounds but it's not looking so good. There's a nice amount of blood leaking through his armor, which he's endevoring to take off as he waits for medical attention that isn't him and some gauze he found laying around.
Yes, yes, Sophie /is/ a Valardin, and those Oathlanders have a reputation for being stuffy and uptight. The Mother Mercy of Arx, though, is no stranger to soldiers and sailors and the things coming out of there mouths. So, with an amused smile, she quips to Leta. "If you shat yourself, I have some wipes but really can't be of more aid than that. Blood, however...."
Brogan claps his thick hands together as the fight comes to an end. "Quite the show, I must say!" Brogan bellows out loud and proud, but then he glances to the heralds of the 50/50. "Poppa needs some drinkin money..." Brogan loudly mutters this.
Ainsley has left the Field.
Silas and Marian face off to decide who clenches the victory, while Estaban remains behind his Lord Commander and continues to take aim. It is a strategy they've stuck with throughout the melee, and it appears they're sticking with it til the end! And for good reason: while Silas and Marian fail to land blows on each other, Estaban's arrow strikes true, and Marian finally yields. Silas lowers his blade, and offers the Valardin princess a deep bow in between all the panting. "Thank you for the honor of fighting you, Your Highness. You were exceptional." He then turns to the wounded Estaban. "And thank -you-, Estaban." Really, everyone did their good share of helping secure the victory, and their opponents gave them a great challenge! He ambles off the field and directs healers to and fro. "Auction starts in ten minutes!"
Leta winces at Sophie. "Wasn't that bad! Not to the point of shittin' myself or nothing. Why, I'd have stayed longer, it was just gettin' hard to fight with all these." and she gestures, a little awkwardly, to the various arrows sticking out of her person. "But there's plenty of blood." she confirms jovially, if a little pale. And she'd even clap, but one of the arrows in one arm is getting in the way, so she just bangs a hand against her steel-clad knee in applause. "Was a good fight!" she yells out in confirmation, then.
Ravana the tawny eagle arrives, following Ansel.
Esoka goes to collapse near Calaudrin, as she's waiting for the attention of the medics. She looks more than a little dazed. The smile she flases him remains brilliant. "My! That was, indeed, bracing! Are you injured too badly?" Her concern is present, but faint. She's confident he can walk it off! She yells back enthusiastically at Leta, "QUITE SO!"
Mira jumps and cheers, "Go Iron Guard!" Pumping her arm into the air, Mira smiles and sits down, looking to Karadoc, "And now the Auction! Hopefully I can snag a piece or two."
Ravana the tawny eagle leaves, following Ansel.

Estaban bows his head to the Lord COmmander breathing heavily so much so that he moves over to the fench to where they were fighting and plops to the ground breathing heavily his bow on the ground next to him.
Aiden moves to Silas' side, looking at him up and down. There's a scowl on his face and he can be sure to be seen saying something to Silas in tones that while low were obviously nagging in tone. But then he says more cheerfully, "The 50/50 is going well." He crosses his arms, "I'm hoping we reach 50,000 silver. We might yet get there by the end of the night."
Sparte claps from the audience. He is here too! Amongst the other Iron Guardsmen, doing his best to be out of the way for such a big gathering.

Marian goes to Sophie for some healing and the Mercy's hands is like magic. She closes her eyes for a moment as the arrows are removed and her body is starting to relax, "I tried to keep them off for as long as I could." She nods off to the crowd, "I hope the exhibition and auction raise plenty for their fallen.
Calypso waves Aiden over as she hears he hasn't yet reached his goal. "Another 5000 for me." She says, tossing over the coin bags.

Ferrando gets an adorable corgi plushie from an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.
Merek moves to where Ysbail is, recognizing her, and waving a bit. "Hey, I heard about the thing, congratulations," he offers, while he settles in, now bandaged up, and watches as the fundraiser begins.
"Uh, maybe." Calaudrin replies uncertainly to Esoka. "People don't usually get close enough to me to hit me..." This is new to him! He bleeds out some more, pulling off pieces of armor and letting them drop. Then he tips his head back against the bench and closes his eyes. He's not dead, he's just taking a nap.
Merek has joined the Quiet Booth.
AHHHH flying silver!!! The silver bags are tossed. Aiden manages to turn around in time to catch and not fumble the things. "Thank you Minister!" He sends her a wave, hurrying the pouch over toward the raffle table so he can get her tickets sorted out.
"That's fortunate," Sophie replies to Leta, still amused, as she tends to the arrow wounds. "And it's not /too/ much blood." It could be, but would a Mercy really alarm a patient so? Regardless, Calaudrin and his horrid shape are noticed as she finishes up. "If you'll pardon me..."
Except she's intercepted by Marian. The amusement flashed at her fellow Dragon is more wry in nature. "Taking a page out of dear Edain's book, I see." So it is Sophie gets to work before she fi-i-i-i-inally gets to Calaudri.

Silas offers Aiden a sheepish smile when the prince begins to nag at him -- he seems to enjoy it, strangely enough. "Thanks for keeping track of everything. I don't think I could have done it." Not in the midsts of combat! He then nods to something Aiden utters, inaudible, and looks towards Sophie. "Um, if you don't mind, Your Highness?" Silas offers his bloody arm. It wasn't a lethal wound, but there's a good chance it hurts. He uses is unwounded arm to grab a piece of parchment from a passing attendant.
Ferrando trucks into the event, getting a corgi plushie and stashing it away as he checks the program. Missed the combat, but not the auctions apparently! He pauses by the lottery notice with a contemplative expression and looks around for somebody to buy a ticket from.
The raffle booth assistants start to up the numbers on their display board as Aiden adds more to the ticket selling. 50/50 Jackpot is now up to: 47,750 silver!! Buy your tickets now for a chance to win!
"Sparring is a good hobby!" Esoka says, encouragingly, to Calaudrin. "I do it frequently, should you want to take it up!" She puts an encouraging hand on his shoulder as he zones out, and is attended to by the Mercy. Slight bow of her shoulders to Sophie, even if it comes with a wince. "We are most grateful for your work."
"It's a bit of blood, but I've had worse, Mother, I reckon!" Leta says to Sophie with a grin, opening her armor so her wounds can be tended to. Thankfully, most of the arrows went into easily accessible places, the lighter armor on her arms and thighs. "Why, I'm still standing and everything, that's better than usual. I was good, I was, I stopped before the fighting stopped me first." she confirms with a broad smile, then goes quiet as her wounds are tended to. Once the arrows are removed, she can strip off the rest of armor and allow for proper bandaging. "Should've formed a wedge! We'd have won for sure." she says with a look towards Esoka.
Estaban looks to Sophie, "Thank you." he says softly he is just tired he has been through a lot and its wearing on him, he just sits there for a bit his eyes closing needing a few moment to get his head back down to earth.
Ferrando has joined the General Seating.
Silas has left the Field.
With Calaudrin cared for, Esoka is next on the list. Good thing that aeterna doesn't stain. So it is that Sophie sees to the Greenblood. "I thank you for the practice," she amiably replies, smiling, "so long as you fully and swiftly enough recover." To Leta, she calls back, "I reckon so, my dear Dame, and let us keep it that way!" And then there is Estaban, whom she tells, "You are most welcome, milord," as the Mother Mercy mends him before finally getting to Silas.
Marian finishes up with the healers and then makes her way to where Fergus is standing. She gives him a look, "It seems I am not infallible." She takes off her helm and holds it in her arm, "Sophie is a miracle worker but I'm still sore. How did the fight look in the stands?"
Marian has left the Field.
Fergus takes the helmet off Marian's hands. "Missed most of it. Caught the last part with you pulling out. Didn't know you were fighting in it otherwise I would've shown up a bit sooner. Sure, you're fucking infallible, when you're fucking outnumbered. You look alright."
Silas gets treated and settles down. "Thank you, Your Highness," he murmurs gratefully to Sophie. A few minutes transpire before he stands and projects his voice. "First auction will be for the Iron Guard figurines. The winner gets a choice of three -- they're all in the display case -- which will also come with it. Do note: the autographed Paladin figurines will be a separate auction. Starting bid starts at 1200. Any takers?"
Karadoc put his hand up, "1200 silver."
Charlaine comes in a little late, she looks about, her eyes maneuver over those here. She moves with a careful step, making her way to seat herself.
Silas scratches his chin. "1200 going once... it -does- include the display case."
Aiden pipes up, "2000!"
Mira raises a hand, "2000!"
"I've taken far worse than this, and the cause was for the good," Esoka says, all of confidence to Sophie. She considers Leta, then nods. "A wedge might have done it. It was very close. I think another blow either the Lord Commander or Lord Estaban would've turned things in our favor. Was not to be, though, and I've no quarrel yielding to these fine men." She turns to watch the auction. Checking her purse. Frowning. She does not bid.
Mira scowls, "2200!"
Tikva sings out, "2500!" because why not.
Marian gives a laugh, "Ahh, it's good. I'm glad Gloria was on their side." She nods to the stands, "The crowd loved it." She nods over to where the auction is happening, "We shold probably take a seat. Is there anything there you're interested in bidding in?" She lets him hold the helm as they walk.
Aiden wasn't up there helping with this auction for a reason, looking over the display case and back to Silas, he had gotten out of it to bid himself, "3500!" Because they were collectables!
Brogan has left the General Seating.
"We have a 3500 from the most handsome Grayson prince. Do we have a 4000?"
Tikva calls, "4000!"
Karadoc waved off bidding anymore. He smirked, "Too rich for my blood."
Let it not be said the Mother Mercy does not appreciate the Iron Guard. "6,000 silver!" Sophie bids.
Fergus takes the helmet with one hand, and Marian's arm in the other, leading her to nearest set of benches. "There's a couple things I was looking at. There's one there that I'm pretty sure would make a good replacement. Y'know, the one I fucking broke. Which is why I still haven't been back yet. Figure this might do."
Charlaine has joined the General Seating.
Estaban finaly gets himself up off the ground on the feild pulling his helm off so he can better see and breath. He heads off to where everyone else is gathered for the auction standing and watching silently for the moment.
"We have a 6000 from the prettiest Mercy! Anyone wanna try for 6500?"
Aiden looks over toward Tikva and grins. Did anyone notice there's a replica Silas in that case? Aiden turns to the bids and frowns, then shakes his head and offers, "7,000!"
Estaban has left the Field.
Tobias watches the auction quietly, then... "15000."
Fergus gets an adorable corgi plushie from an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.
Marian nods solemnly as they sit down, "I was eyeing that bedroom set. I really like it." She doesn't jump into the bid for she is content to sit back and watch." She leans into Fergus since the fight left her pained and sore.
"We have 7000 from--eer, 15000 from the most generous Crimson Blades commander! Should I just call it?"
Leta, down to her blood-soaked linen undershirt and a lot of bandages, reclines slightly in her seat, with a loud sigh and groan of relief, free of all the arrows that had been poking in her uncomfortable places. She looks towards Marian and cracks a grin, before her attention turns to the auction. For a moment there, she starts to raise her hand for a bid, the prices quickly soar out of her reach. "I'd like one of those, but I got the real thing, it'll have to do."
Marian gets an adorable corgi plushie from an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.
Freja pushes up from her seat as the bidding starts and waves a fond farewell to those at her bench before inching towards the exit.
Freja has left the High Booth.
Victus gives a small wave toward Freja as she leaves the high booth. "Be safe, dirty one."... Something she says as she leaves does make his face go blank.
Silas smirks and bows in Tobias's direction. "15000 for the display case and three of the figurines within. Thank you for your generosity, Lord Telmar. Which three do you want?"
Sophie checked command + teaching at difficulty 0, rolling 36 higher.
Aiden looks back toward the caller of the generous 15,000 dollar bid. His face flushes a little, and before he can get out a decision, the auction is called and ... dawh. He looks rather disappointed!
Charlaine talks with Karadoc, then glancing to Estaban she smiles adoringly before her eyes move back to those around her, and she speaks to the stands.
Tobias gives Aiden a thumbs up and a smirk as he looks his way. "The Reese, Silas, and Serafine ones."
Sophie gets an adorable corgi plushie from an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.
"Figure you would. The armor is nice, but I'm already getting a set made, so not like I need another fucking set. Or well...hrm. Maybe a high quality set at some point. For dueling reasons if I ever have to." Fergus considers, before shrugging. "So does this mean I'm going to have to bid against you?"
Silas dumps a stately display case with acanthus leaf molding accents and spills its contents all over the floor.
Silas picks up Lord Commander Silas, Baron Whitehawk.

Marian shakes her head, "No...I will bow and let you bid." She gives him a wink before laying her head on his shoulder, "So...I've already done my part for tonight."
Silas picks up a stately display case with acanthus leaf molding accents.
Aiden actually moves over toward Tobias not long after the man made his selection, his tone quiet as he speaks to the man.
Sir Rodrick, a Valardin Knight, Spirit, the Tiny Honey Brown Fox Kit arrive, following Sasha.
Sasha picks up an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.

Estaban spots Charlaine his eyes fall on her a small smile coming to his face he moved over in their Direction, his eyes light up more when he spots Karadoc here. He had not realized his cousin had come to watch. "M'lady, cousin it is good to see you."
"Not going to stop if you do. Shit, we could pool our coin together if you wanted. Feel like that's going to go pretty fucking high. Though maybe the armor will go for more. Bet it'll be more." Fergus nods, looking her over. "Yeah, you've been put through the fucking wringer, Mari. Might want to take a day off or something."
A few gangly attendants remove the figurines not chosen from the display case, then begin to lift it to place it within Tobias's possession... of if it's too big (and it likely is), then nearby! "Next up, the autographed Paladin of Swords and Paladin of Ideals figurines. Prince Ainsley and Lord Killian are among their number, and these figurines possess Iron Guard get-ups and their signatures! They come in a pair -- bids start at 1000 silver. Who wants them?"
Mira raises her hand, "2000 silveer!"
Karadoc gave a nod to his cousin. "You did well, cousin."
Aiden looks toward the paladins auction, "I'm going to be so broke..." He calls out, "5000!"
Karadoc raised his hand, "1000.... " He paused as Mira bid over the starting value, and chuckled, then, "2,500 silver."
Charlaine smiles as she hands Estaban a small daisy she had picked along the way. She smiles to Karadoc then over to Estaban as she hugs him. "I missed you fight, I am sorry." she kisses his cheek lightly.
Tobias checked strength + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 35 higher.
And then Karadoc sighed, putting his hand down.
"Eeer, 5000! 5500 anyone?"
Victus would raise his hand up. "5,500."
It would seem that Sophie is a good loser. Enough so that she is all smiles as she wanders over to Ainsley to murmur something to the Grayson Prince.
In fact, Tobias lifts the display case fairly easily with one arm, just sliding it within his grasp at the benches and putting one of his bodyguards on guard duty for it, before returning to watching the auction.
"5500 from the High Lord of Thrax! Anyone willing to fork over 6000?"
Aiden says, "6000!"
Estaban takes the flower smiling he is in his Iron Guard armor something very different then is normal leathers he wears. "Thank you Cousin, I know I will be feeling it later." he chuckles and lifts something up from behind his back when his cheek is kissed, "For you M'lady."
"6000 from the handsome prince! 6500 anyone?"
Marian gets up slowly and makes her way out of the event. She looks tired and decides to head off early. She gives a smile to those that look her way, and makes sure to pick up a stuffy on the way out.
"Looks like 6000 is the winning bid, to Prince Aiden Grayson!" Silas picks up the two paladin figurines and presents them to the young prince next to him. They didn't have to travel very far, evidently. "Next, the bedroom furniture, made from rosewood imported from Tor! The set comes with a chest, an armoire, and a bed. Bids start at 3000 silver. Who wants them?" (look Silas's bed if you want to see the bed -- can't drop it unless we want it here forever. :P)
Silas picks up autographed paladin of ideals figurine.
Charlaine squees as she gets the plushie and she hugs Estaban with a grin "thank you!" she says to him as she wriggles the plush dog in Karadoc's direction. She smiles to Estaban then beaming happily "are you staying any later here?" she wonders as she looks as if she didnt want to stay for the auction.
Silas picks up autographed paladin of the sword figurine.
Fergus raises a hand. "3000."
Mira jumps out of her seat, eyes wide. "It's a SET?! 4000!!"
Tikva sings out, "5000."
Sparte quitely twiddles his thumbs and watches people toss money around with wide eyes.
Victus raises his hand, "6,000."
Fergus shrugs. "15,000.
Karadoc raised a brow, starting to bid, but, sitting back down as Fergus more than doubled it. He huffed, "That's no fun."
Mira trembles a bit, like trying to summon up a thunderstorm from her shoes before finally pointing and shouting out, "20,000 silver!"
Fergus eyes Mira for a moment, considers for a moment. "25,000."
Victus stands up, "30,000."
"I won?!" Aiden looks happily toward the figurines, "Finally! I have a paladin of the sword!" He goes to collect as the auction for the bedroom set starts. He returns to Tobias and waggles the one paladin, "Trade or did you want the silver?"
Mira wavers, one eye twitching a bit. But then Victus makes his bid, and Mira's shoulders drop. She sits back down.
Fergus sucks air in through his teeth, pondering. Fuck it. "45,000."
Estaban shakes his head as all the silver gets tossed about. "I will be right back." he moves to step over to Aiden tapping his shoulder and leaning in to whisper to him.
Silas cants his head in Fergus's direction and raises his brows. Didn't think him a rose person! Then Mira pipes up. Then Fergus again. Then Victus. The last bid -really- surprises him."Oh wow. Bidding is at 30000 for the--okay 45000, for Prince Fergus." He pauses to see if anyone dares to surpass that mark. "50000, maybe?"
Victus drums his fingers down for a moment... "50,000."
Leta watches the auction, studying the items displayed and listen to the prices called back and forth. She looks bemused at all this, head shaking as she pushes herself up to stand. There's some wincing, but she manages to walk over to her plush corgi and her hat. She takes the hat from the corgi and sets it on her head, then returns to her blood-soaked armor and starts packing it away. "I oughta be a craftswoman, that's what!"
Fergus is tilting his head back and forth, mentally debating, eyes titling up, looking at imaginary numbers. "55,000."
"Bid is at 50000 for the rosewood bedroom set. 55000? Or am I getting too optimi--okay I'm not apparently. 55000, to Prince Fergus. 60000?"
Every time Fergus ups his bid, Sophie's smile grows broader and brighter until it threatens to split open her face.
Victus rustles his beard as he looks down with some... no, fuck it. "60,000."
Tobias gives a throaty laugh, "To think I was considering bidding for it." Tobias watches Victus and Fergus with a thoroughly amused expression.
"60,000, for Prince Victus!" Silas glances to Fergus, almost expectantly.
A hand scratches at Fergus' scarred face, the Redrain realizing it's starting to get very pricey. Finally, a nod. "65,000."
"Pardon me," Sophie tells Aiden before making her way to Fergus, so that she might murmur something to him.
Mira slumps forward, elbow on her bare knee and chin on her palm. The redhead in the red-and-plaid skirt sighs, watching the bidding war from afar. Glancing up, she puffs one of her two arched bangs higher, and reaches up to fluff it when it falls down again.
Estaban looks to Aiden as he whispers something back to him nodding his head he squeezes the young princes shoulder and turns to head back to Karadoc and Charlaine.
Tobias gets Lord Commander Silas, Baron Whitehawk from a stately display case with acanthus leaf molding accents.
Aiden nods to Sophie and has some sort of dealing with Tobias before he looks up at the price that Silas' furniture is going for, "He really should get back into the business..." There's a laugh, then a turn to Estaban, "See you later. Rest well my friend."
Silas can't help but smirk a bit now. "65,000 for the rosewood set, with Prince Fergus the highest bid. Do you wish to challenge him again, Your Highness?" The Lord Commander looks Victus's way.
Victus stares at his companion Ysbail in the stands for several long moments. His hand raises and makes a swift cutting motion through the air. "Let him sleep on something nice."
Silas nods to Victus, then to Fergus, thoroughly pleased with the results. "The furniture is all yours, Your Highness. I'm sure it'll suit your household well." The gangly attendants groan and begin to move the pieces of furniture in Fergus's general direction. "Last, but not least, my suit of armor! It's served me very well. It's better than what I'm wearing right now. Since I have yet to receive the steel jewelry to auction off, I'll add the armor stand as recompensation. Bids start at 10,000. Who wants?"
Silas picks up a magnificent armoire with hand-carved rose motif.
Charlaine looks over to Aiden as he whispers to Estaban and she looks curious before she links her arm to the Guard's "Shall we?" she asks him as she prepares to leave.
Does Fergus visibly exhale once Victus relents, conversing with Sophie quietly. "Do *not* play fucking chicken with that man!" he grunts, calling over with a jerk of the head towards Victus. "Man knows how to fucking play."
Silas picks up an opulent rosewood chest with curved front.
Eventually, her armor packed, and with a long low whistle of appreciation at the prices shooting way high, Leta pushes herself off the seat, nods politely to the present, and limps slightly as she heads on out of the tournament grounds.
Ulf leaves, following Fergus.
Estaban looks to Karadoc, "I will see you soon cousin." he pats the mans shoulder then nods his head, "Yeah, I need to make a stop at the tower then we can perhaps find come place to relax."
Karadoc gave a nod, "See you."
"The Mercies of Lagoma will happily give 10,000 silver to the cause," is Sophie call to the opening bid.
Charlaine has left the General Seating.
Charlaine leaves, following Estaban.
Ulf arrives, following Fergus.
"10000 for a set of fine steel armor, to Princess Sophie. Do I hear 15000 from anyone?"
Joslyn raises her hand from the stand. "I'll bid 15,000." Adding. "I could probably use steel one of these days.
"15000 from Mistress Manicelli," Silas states with a nod. "Worth noting it's crafted by Mistress Eithne, and every piece is excellent in make. (OOC: everything is above excellent quality, but I realize most people have armor already! :P)
"Alright, the armor goes to Mistress Manicelli for 15000 silver, along with the armor stand. Good deal!" Silas grins and nods towards the straining attendants. "That concludes the auctions. Now, the finale..." He looks to Aiden. "The 50/50 raffle! Lets see if someone earns back their silver. Want to draw the number, Aiden?"
Silas picks up a metal armor stand with crosspieces.
1 Grayson Guardsmen, Peaches, a lovely white war filly with a peach saddle, Justice, an elegant hunting falcon, Stormy, a silvery gray hunting hound, Baby Badger arrive, following Reese.
Peaches, a lovely white war filly with a peach saddle have been dismissed.
Baby Badger have been dismissed.
1 Grayson Guardsmen have been dismissed.
Aiden looks toward the stage and waves his arm to Silas, "Yes! I'll go get the tickets!" He's pointing that he has to go to the raffle barrel. "Last chance for 50/50!" Really, last minute! He makes his stride languid to go gather the tickets, to give people a chance before he draws the number.
Esoka looks a fair bit better since receiving patching by the Mercy, but still goes through the auction with a rather exhausted, dazed look on her face. She perks up at the announcement it's time for the raffle, though.
Reese gets an adorable corgi plushie from an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.
"Is it possible to buy 5,000 silver's worth of tickets?" Sophie wonders, before she quietly asides something more to Fergus, her expression quite lambent.
Joslyn looks a little... very embarassed by something as Silas delivers the armor to her, and she smiles then. "Well, I'll be ready, whenever it comes time to put this on. Thanks!" she says, blushing at something still and burying her face in her hands.
"Fucking shit." Fergus blinks at the amount of tickets that Sophie offers to buy. "Go you, I guess."
Silas nods to Sophie. "Certainly. That'll be twenty tickets." His gaze flickers to Aiden. He's the poor soul keeping track of everything!
Aiden is slowly packing things up and hands out a few more tickets before the numbers are drawn! "Twenty tickets, coming up. Last chance for anyone else!" At least he has assistants counting out all those tickets and weighing in the silver!
Sophie softly hmms at Fergus' comment. "You're right. That is low. I did have a bid of 10,000 for the armor." So, she asks of Aiden, "Is it possible to but 10,000 silver's worth of tickets?"
Reese arrives rather late to the event while in her silvery steel plate. She is quick to get a plushie, because so cute! "Oh, thank the gods, I made it in time to get one." She murmurs. She purchases a ticket.
Silas chuckles again. "40 tickets, then."
Aiden looks up at the change, "Yes. It's possible! Twenty more please--" he gets the assistants counting out more.
Sophie seems content now, as though Gild would be pleased.
Sophie nods to what Aiden quietly tells her as she hands over a small pouch of silver.
Once it looks like there are no more takers for the raffle draw, Aiden scoops up the container with all the ticket stubs tossed in. He looks around and gets a tally, striding toward where Silas is waiting for him. He took his time but it was worth it. "Thank you for all your support to the charity function tonight! The 50/50 draw has raised an astonishing 60,500 silver! That means tonights winner will take home 30,250 silver! The real winners have been the Iron Guard as they'll put this toward all the reparations needed." He hands the tickets over to Silas, "I think the honor should be yours, Lord Commander!"
Silas has rolled 1 248-sided dice: 30
Silas seems reluctant at first. He forked all the responsibility over to Aiden, so it feels a little strange to pick the winning ticket, but he ultimately shrugs and decides it didn't matter. "Impressive pot. I'll be sending something to everyone who participated," Silas adds and shuffles around the tickets. After a good minute or two, he plucks out a single ticket. "Who got number 30? They're the lucky winner!"
"Ticket #30 wins!"[n
Victus throws his arms in the air. "FUCK!"
Mira calls to Victus, "That's improper in public!"
As no one is jumping out of their seats claiming the winning ticket, Aiden gestures for the ticket registration and a scribe comes on over to hand him off a parchment that marks the tickets given out and the supporters. He leans in toward Silas and murmurs something.
Calypso has left the High Booth.
Ryder the falcon, Matteo, 3 Malvici Guards leave, following Calypso.
Reese hugs the plushie close, because it is so cute. It seems unlikely that she didn't win, she peeks down at her ticket and sighs. She then smiles over to many she knows here and slips out. The princess looks exhausted.
Silas leans in to receive Aiden's whisper. His brows raise in surprise. "Prince Mason Grayson is the winner of the 50/50 Raffle. Evidently he has expressed a desire to donate his winnings back to the Iron Guard. If he indeed intends to do that, we thank him profusely for his generosity." Seriously. Silas is beaming now, as he faces the gathering again. "I will be putting more plushies and figurines up for sale at the Barracks, if any of you are interested in helping further. Thank you all for attending!"
Ferrando is overheard praising Mason for: A very generous winner!
Silas is overheard praising Mason for: Thank you!
Tikva is overheard praising Mason for: Yay! What a nice gesture.
Fergus gives Sophie a pat on the shoulder, getting up to his feet and moving to head on out. "Make sure you rub in to Marian what I fucking did for her tonight. Take it easy, Sophie."
Merek applauds.
Ulf leaves, following Fergus.
Justice, an elegant hunting falcon arrives, delivering a message to Silas before departing.
Tikva gathers up her silvery skirts and scurries off, next.
Tikva has left the High Booth.
Mariah, a nanny, Thump, a yappy pupper, 1 Grayson Guardsmen leave, following Tikva.
Aiden gets an adorable corgi plushie from an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.
Sophie is overheard praising Mason for: A truly noble gesture that honors both the Iron Guard and Gild.
Mira rises and applauds for the generous act! She whistles sharply for Mason, wherever he may be, and she looks like she's about to leave!
Aiden picks up Officer Merek Black figurine.
Aiden picks up Lieutenant Calaudrin Estardes figurine.
Aiden picks up Guardsman Sparte Fatchforth figurine.
Aiden picks up Guardswoman Thena Grayhope figurine.
Aiden picks up Iron Guard Fundraiser Program.
Silas picks up an arch-topped cedar chest with steel hardware, Corgi Plushies take ONE only.
As the event wraps up, Aiden starts to help with the clean up. Fundraisers were tiring and usually it was the cleanup that was the worst!
For the sake of Vellichor's record, Sophie would've quipped something about Fergus surely being able to do all the rubbing involving Marian that needs to transpire. (Yes, like /that/.) Alas, the Redrain Prince has departed before she has the chance.
Aiden is overheard praising Mason for: For a very generous donation to the Iron Guard!

I was honored to take part in a melee for the benefit of the Iron Guard. Grandmaster Armel, Dame Leta, Princess Alis, Princess Marian, and myself made up the opposing side. Lord Commander Silas, Prince Ainsley, Lord Esteban, Master Merek, and my good First Officer Calaudrin represented their Iron Guard. It was very hard-fought, but the Iron Guardsman emerged triumphant. Gloria's honors to all who took the field, and thanks to a fine fight!
Perhaps Dame Leta has a point, that we should have formed a wedge. Next time!
