I think I've done more sewing this week than I can remember ever having done in semi-recent memory. Pretty sure my fingers are calling it quits and demanding a break, for at least a little while. I'm ridiculously pleased with how everything has turned out, and I don't often get that giddy over gowns, but damn it they're so -shiny-.

I am so looking forward to tonight's Gala! To attend such an event is certainly a once-in-a-lifetime treat, but to have a hand in part of it? It is an honor beyond the telling of it. I have worked for weeks on the costumes that will be seen tonight. I feel sorry for the headaches and anxiety attacks that I might have possibly inspired with the seamstresses, leatherworkers and jewelers I have been working with, and I spent quite a lot of Greenmarch's wealth on ensuring that my apologies and appreciation were backed up with silver. I truly hope that those wearing the costumes tonight feel empowered by them, that they are inspired, that we are all inspired by these amazing Legends and remember that this time is our time, and that if we give everything, we might be the Legends of the future.

I am extremely excited for the Gala tonight! Not only will I be playing the role of an amazing woman, but the Nightingale will be singing a song that I wrote! It is my first time ever trying to write such a thing, so I am nervous as to it's reception, but also incredibly excited! So, I guess I'm nervcited? Or excitvous! A perfect combination of the two that apparently words can only aspire to!

When I had the collective approval of the Crafters Guild to send aid to Stormwall in the wake of its injury, the enthusiasm and the size of that aid was encouraged by every prominent member. Commoners, all of us, and we saw in our resources the ability to stabilize the foundations of a staggered city. I am humbled that the Crafters college in Stormwall will bear the family name, something I didn't know was- .... I mean, I had expected something-
This was a collected effort, the pooling of resources from faces I see everyday. The pride I feel is because of them; they did this. The Crafters are a mighty river and together they could wash away mountains; it is clear in this case they certainly have. I am proud of you, all of you. So bloody proud.

I have assigned guards to all the archlectors in the city - with the increase in trouble it seems prudent. I worry that so many unfortunate accidents and killings of disciples and Godsworn might make people forget the retribution that would follow any violence against a Godsworn, so hopefully the guards provide a useful reminder.
Strangely I haven't had an angry note from Dame Thena about her guard, I made sure to find her one of the best of the new batch of Oathland Godsworn knights so they could discuss chivalry.

Relationship Note on Aureth
Blessed Aureth has been helping me in my studies - as no-one is calling on the Templars to action at the moment, and as we are studying our history, I have decided to try to expand my understanding of the Faith, a long term pursuit. He has made some excellent points, that discussions in the past - those things noted down - always occurred within a context and that context is important to understanding the meaning behind the words.
Perhaps now I have reached the limits of what I might understand of the theology of the Faith and the other beliefs simple through education, that now the path I must take is one of contemplation. But, one thing I believe more than ever is the righteousness of the Faith. Not that I think anyone would expect less.
But soon we must return to the board, for the Templars to be moved and our part played.

I am finalizing my plans for my journey north for my atlas project, sending various missives and getting my affairs in order. Should I not return, these are my plans for my belongings and property:
Spencer's Books and Scribing Supplies shall be left to my assistant, Milton Miller.
My collection of books are to be given to my patron, Countess Mia Riven.
Any duplicate books are to be given to Prince Niklas Grayson.
Half the money in my bank account shall be given to my parents and sister at Lowers Bows.
The other half of the money in my bank account shall be donated to the Scholars of Vellichor.
Any interesting rocks in my possession are to be given to Mistress Aurora Thornburn.
Please don't worry on my behalf. I have, after all, done something similar before, and since then I have learned a great deal. I will be traveling with a merchant caravan part of the way and have also hired excellent protectors.

I am always a little nervous about performing at things -- though a lot of times I perform on a battlefield and that has its own set of stresses -- but tonight I am looking forward to the Gala excitedly. I think it will be spectacular.

A busy week. Though it wasn't the excitement of last week, I did end up ina river holding a sack of rocks at one point. I've spoken with roughly half of the knights who I wish to learn from before taking my next steps, but the second half are the more difficult half. Busier, less accessible. Perhaps I set the number too high, or perhaps I just need to do the work I set for myself.

I'm working on getting better at writing. I don't really have much to say. I've merely been working on stocking my shop with various things. I finished a large commission for someone. I think he likes it but I am not entirely sure. I am not certain when people tell me the truth or not.
Arx is still very busy. Very crowded even.
The scholars mention children up for adoption and fostering and it sometimes makes me wish for my own. I won't be having any very soon, though. I can barely take care of myself let alone another tiny being that will probably break if I forget about them.
I best get back to work, though, I've an order to finish. As usual, I wrote two copies of this letter to make Adoptive Grandpa happy.
