I came, I saw, I remained for only a few minutes. I supported them as I could afterwards, the North has some nice traditions, I just wasn't in the mood for a crowd on that day. I heard it was a success past all that though, and I'm happy for that.

It was an interesting Rite and evening. I remained until the morning, and it was quite enlightening. However it is also quite tiring to remain awake for so much time. I'm hopeful to visit more shrines as they perform more rites. It's always good to learn more about the Faith than I could back at home.

As a belated note: I am not going to try my hand at tournaments again. I am pretty sure I would have Alis, Fia, Shae and possible others sitting on me to keep me from entering if I even thought about it.
I have more scars, that is kind of interesting. The getting hurt really badly wasn't.

Surprising things have been occurring amidst the great ups and horrific downs that has been life in Arx as of late.
Surprises aren't always pleasant. Neither are they always unwanted. Often, they leave me feeling a bit unsure though. Wary. Skeptical.
Thankfully, I have enough on my mind to distract me from having to over analyze such surprises. I haven't any idea how I am going to find time to do all that I aim to do, or if I will be successful in doing them; but I will try.
My faith in the Spirits helps give me the strength and focus I will need. It is my hope that they will hear me, and perhaps, I will find at least some of the multitude of answers that I seek with their guidance down the path.

By all accounts, Northernlude was a huge success. I have nothing but praise for both Princess Marian and Lady Khanne, who helped celebrate the North and all her glory that evening. Though I was unable to attend, I know that our guests were treated well by the both of them, and I'm very happy to see Princess Marian easily settling in to our family.

The stories that have come from the harbours seem almost unreal. And yet...

Corpses washing up on shore is not a novelty to me.

I'm freshly returned to the city, and it seems like it's been quite the eventful week in my absence. I can't quite fathom the sheer _scope_ of the death and destruction that's been rained into the harbor... and what, exactly, might have transpired to bring that about.

His Majesty, King Alaric IV visited the newly erected Lodge of Petrichor in the Gray Forest this week. He seemed quite taken with it and enjoyed his time there, however the recent events (the disaster at the Shrine of Mangata and the cataclysmic destruction of Thrax's fleet) meant his time with us was of necessity limited. Hopefully, when we are ready to begin our hunts in the spring, he will visit again

Truthfully, I expected you to be a bit more of a tyrant, given your paternal heritage. Yet, contrary to my expectations, you are mostly quiet unless you are hungry. Usually, I find you just staring at everything with those bright blue eyes so intently as if you are determined to understand the world around you. In almost every way, you have been a surprise.
Though, I suppose you -are- only a few weeks old. Plenty of time to grow into your father's legacy.
