Very impressed with the work Count Kael, Countess Reigna, and Whisper Natalia have put into establishing the Academy of War here in the Crown Ward. The Compact will surely benefit from the sharpened minds and wits from those who take its instruction. Perhaps I'll even be able to find the time to hold a guest lecture of my own on a subject like diplomacy.

Congratulations on the contracts you've succeeded on. I don't know why but as I was sitting down to write I thought about it and wanted to document it because it seemed important to note. I was going to write something else pertaining to this but it's fled my mind. Which reminds me, that I'm pretty sure there was something else I was supposed to be doing.

I can not wait soon I will be going back to the Isles, it will be nice to be there again its only been two years but it almost feels like a life time. Perhaps I will even have time to see my parents and tell them of Leif.

What we learned at dinner tonight in Tyde is disturbing, to say the least, my sworn duty comes before all else here and I have made necessary adjustments to counter as much as I can given the circumstances. We are prepared, and we will not be intimidated, we are Thrax.

It should also be noted the food was absolutely wonderful.

Being at sea has been refreshing to my soul, and letting Sorrel experience sailing on a long trip with Thrax has been a real joy to my heart. She is not just beautiful and deadly, she adapts well and her sea legs are growing at a rapid pace, probably has something to do with all her dancing skills.

I truly am a blessed man.

It troubles me that so much tragedy has befallen the scholars of the city. I've been contemplating on this for a while now and I am saddened that I never got a chance to meet with any of them before their passing.

So, Mirari told me that her father, my uncle, had returned to the city. And more then that, he even said that my mother might still be alive as well. I don't know how to feel about this, my parents left when I was still very young, and I cannot say I really remember them. Time will tell, I suppose.

It is good to be back in the city of Arx, it was a long trip and I am glad to be settling back into my home. I ran into Mirari shortly after returning, and I was equally thrilled to see her, and how well she's been taking care of the family in my absence!

I will be returning to the Isles soon, it sounds like, there will be a visit to Grihem's Point, followed by an expedition south that I am being asked to assist with. I've much to prepare for, and I've only just gotten settled into the city of Arx.

I have found a fine shop in the city that has made me a few pieces of leather armor that are quite decent, actually. Better then I expected. I think I shall continue frequenting it, it is just off of the Merchant's gate in the Compact, though I cannot recall the name off the top of my head.
