The fealty dinner was great. Alas, there were no deaths or poisonings to account for. I found myself truly missing Blacktongue's presence. There was an array of decadent Lycene dishes and while pumpkin is not something I have often had in Tor, pumpkin ravioli is a rich cream sauce tantalized my taste buds this evening. I'm craving more. I'll have to ask Eleyna's staff for the recipe.
There was also dessert which I promised myself I'd not partake in but my willpower was too weak against the lemon and cream cake. Conversations were great, the company was superb. I am so thankful I was able to steal myself away from work this evening.

Admiral Antonio came up with a good idea a few months ago and now we're going to employ it and see how it goes. It should be quite beneficial to House Velenosa in bolstering our navy, it'll hopefully keep our waters safer, and it provides some action for the glory hunters and mercs out there too.

It's been a while since I step foot on a proper sparring ring or anything. I did today. Fisticuffs, of all things, nothing I'm too good at. Still, I managed to hold my own against two contenders, though I've a few good bruises that'll stay with me a while. And I can't even smile without my lip hurting. But I worked up a good sweat and loosened up a little, so that was good.
Next time, armor and a sword.

Day 17,
I found it, the perfect spot for my shop. It would be right outside the Seliki manor in the Triumph Plaza, even Lord Kaldur said he would look into helping me get the proper permits. And with this loan from the Crafters Guild I am all set to finally get my hands back into a forge. Also they do duels here, but not like the ones I am used too, these seem to be bouts of honor with no one actually dying as well as it being refereed. I may have to watch one to see why people are so excited about them.

Finaly! I have figured out my way around the Grayson grounds, I found the local pub called the Badger Boardinghouse. Met a Knight there, Sir Jordan is a good man, a little overly friendly from what I am used to from people of his rank but I guess that is the way this city is. I can't say I don't like it, better than...home? Can I really call it home if I never want to go back there?

I did not know of her public perception when I extended the offer and it is unsurprising but a welcome realization. Olin finally cornered me in the Pearl Gardens and told me to get some better clothes so I don't embarrass her and of course Lord Kaldur. So I made my way to meet a fellow named Kaine. His shop had a bit of everything in it but he promised fine clothes, even if they are only cotton and not that seasilk I saw.. Now at least I can look respectable when I get my shop open.

Jogging at 5am is the mark of a true tormenter - or at least a true advocate for such things. I hurt all over, cousin, though I admit some of that may well be from my ill-fated gauntlet attempt. Still, I was curious to try, and I am amazed I managed to climb that wall. Even if the rest of the obstacles clearly outmatched me.
