How very vexing to find out my beloved cousin has made a vow to Limerance to marry a woman I've never met (let alone knew he was courting) and to find out about it because the one person he had witness it decided to write a journal to commemorate it.

I could not have put it better myself, Bliss! I knew there was a reason we keep you around! Nobles should not hold back on issuing challenges. I can not speak for most Champions, but I love this job and it is my soul reason for getting out of bed. I will fight for you for any reason, big slight or small. And I imagine many of my fellow Champions love this work just as much. If you ever feel the slightest offense, or are even just bored and want some entertainment, issue a challenge!

On teaching,
I have struggled to learn as much as I can of the tools of Petrichor's trade; of animals and farming, of hunting and archery. For some of these, I had a tutor, for many, I did not. I am a private individual; I am sworn to Saik, but I was not knighted until recently.
I do not charge for my tuition. I suggest people make a donation to the Lodge and the Faith, and I watch who does so, for it tells me who is unlikely to be worth my time in future. This isn't to say I would refuse them; but given a choice, I will focus my attention on those who have given in the past, and not those who choose not to.
I do not have the burdens of an entire Great House, but I do not have the support of one, either.

Noble marriages are, of course, widely proclaimed and celebrated. Commoner weddings are not, but that doesn't mean I can't proclaim them in the Whites.
Today, I alone witnessed the marriage of Jonathan Fieldstone and Genevieve Waldenwyn at the dining table. Rings were exchanged, kisses were exchanged, and I am proud to have hauled Jon out of his chair so that he would propose to Genevieve properly.
There was no grand celebration of their union, but I consider both of them dear friends so I choose to proclaim their marriage. If anyone objects, bite me.

The song that Master Niklas has submitted is certainly catchy, and it is perhaps a little /too/ accurate for public distribution. Still, I have found myself humming a likely tune for it.
The song which Master Derovai has submitted fulfills more of the brief, but I confess that it is not quite as catchy as Master Niklas' entry. Still, bonus points for the use of the Saik Greens.

I've never asked for silver for training others in warfare and combat. For me, teaching the way of the Sword is just my way of honoring Gloria. It allows me to show the next generation the hard won wisdom I've gained. Hopefully, mitigate mistakes I had to learn the hard way. From commoner to princes, I've never restricted my training based on birth or circumstance. If you want to serve the Crown and Compact with honor. I will show you the way.
My only regret is that I don't have enough time to teach more. Once I get back on my feet, I encourage any to approach me in the training center. I'll be happy to train you, if my schedule allows. Please know, I don't do appointments. It's strictly on a first come, first serve basis.
