Relationship Note on Silas
I woke up the other day to find two guards watching over me. Following me to make sure that I am kept safe. I do believe that my darling cousin is being a little extra protective these days. I appreciate such kindness. He looks out for me so wonderfully.

I plan to do a more thorough journal entry on this subject so others may learn from it in years to come.
The Expedition to combat the pirates plaguing the Trade Route was most successful. Repeatedly we tracked them down, pursued them and either sunk or took their ships.
Dora is an incredible navigator and was instrumental in locating the pirate bands. I want her on my ship every chance I get.
Lord Santi proved why his is popular with his men, leading the boarding actions and shattering the enemy's will to fight.
Prince Jasher and his squadron showed why Thraxian's are considered the best naval warriors with his flanking actions and they truly are fierce warriors.
I am proud to have commanded and fought beside them all.

Relationship Note on Harald
Duke Harald was a great man. He taught me how to sail and how fight at sea. He helped to prepare me to fight at Maelstrom and me to stand against the Gyre's forces at Setarco. He wasn't so sure about about a blonde Grayson Princess joining sea battles at first, but he gave me the lessons and with time came to be believe me in.
He was with me when Lord Killian died. We went against Dame Zhayla's killers. This battle was one of the most difficult of my life, maybe the most difficult. Duke Harald and his son were injured, but they survived.
Near Farhaven Duke Harald risked his life to give us all a chance to escape from the slaver. Without him many of us would have died.
I cannot say I am surprised he had a hero's death. He used to say that since he had a heir to his house, he would risk his life as needed for compact and the greater good and he did.
Compact lost a brave man, a great fighter and a great tactician.
My condolences go out to House Grimhall. I have complete faith that tDuke Valdemar and Duchess Vanora are more than up for the task of continuing Grimhall's greatness.

Relationship Note on Jordan
Jordan was a great warrior and a huge asset to House Ashford. Lady Aislin and Lord Killian would have been so proud of him and maybe they meet him in another life.
I have him many lessons and he was an attentive student. The day came when he was beyond my lessons and even starting to win against me in spars.
I am honored to have know him. He was a wonderful fighter. I am glad that Duke Harlan lived through the ordeal and I hear that was thanks to Sir Jordan.

Cybele was a wonderful woman who gave her life for the Lodge. Before the lodge she often gave her time to others, training those who needed lessons in all sort of things for free. I am honored to have known her. She will be missed.

Relationship Note on Ysabel
I have met the most wonderful friend: the Baroness of ME! Ha!
How delightful it was to run into Baroness Ysabel Gilden, the Baroness of -Caith-. We had tremendous fun laughing about how she was my baroness and I found her completely and utterly charming (just as one would expect a Baroness of Me to be). When the weather got to be too cold and blustery to go out into, she invited me to stay over in her room and we had a lovely time drinking, eating and reading aloud from the book of puns I had with me.
What did the grape say when it was crushed? Nothing, it just let out a little wine.

There's a missing Marquis that, well of course, I did not know. But a fellow Velenosan. Granted, I am also unsure if people expect people to lose interest by certain degrees of seperation but this is a mystery and a marquis. A man with a family, who had a role, upon whom people relied. Someone loved and now missed. Leaving a hole in the dream where they no longer are, or perhaps they are and like me they have been taken a slave. I don't know that I can assume someone dead without a body... I do not wish to live with the weight of all that worry but this might be something that I can do a little something about even if that little something is caring loud enough for others to add their voice to the cause. How much more interesting if it turns into an adventure on the high seas! How much more so if it can draw a group of friendly acquaintances into true, fast friends. Who have tackled challenge and survived threat together to discover the unknown and look for the unseen.

Scholar Leopold Daltius wrote a book about chivalric code and duty called Lonely Hearts: An Anthropological Study of Romance and Duty in the Oathlands. The other evening, I thought he was in Arx and holding an event to meet people. I went to get my book signed. I was very wrong. The chocolate fountain was very nice, though.
