The story of a bride snatching up an octopus in her bare hand just after swearing her oaths to her new husband in order to keep it from entangling a Godsworn is, well, rather unbelievable. But I suspect there is no other way our wedding could have gone. Perhaps it is a sign that Mangata smiled upon us in that moment, as we stood in the imported waters of the Mourning Isles within the atrium shrine at the Thrax estate. If nothing else, we are blessed with an abundance of friendship. The sheer outpouring of well wishes is more than I can individually address here. However, every single guest, every single gift, every single note, is cherished.
I do want to commit a few notes of gratitude to history: Princess Alarissa has been exceptionally kind and welcoming. Her offer to assist with the wedding and providing the shrine for use was a gift I never expected. She is an exemplar of grace. Marquessa Norah's decisive action, unwavering certainty, and continued support have put my life on a course I could not have imagined a year ago but now cannot see having been any other way. And Blessed Avary, your words have ushered forth a new alliance between houses and turned the page to the next chapter of our lives. Perhaps someday I can properly express how meaningful it was to have you, specifically, be the one to do so. So too, Baroness Lucita should be commended for seeing a surprising opportunity and taking it, making difficult decisions for the benefit of her house, and being steadfast in her commitment to Saikland Greens.
May Eswynd and Saik find enduring strength, flourishing growth, and lasting friendship through this union.

These past days I have been studying and learning. In speciality, learning the weaknesseas, if any of my oathed enemy: the Malardin. The Gods, however, have favored me with new clues that will make my task easier. I have two leads I wish to explore. Perhaps I am lucky and someone reads this Journal, contacts me and randomly decides to be that man or woman who have a heart of Gold.
My tasks here are complex. But systematically destroying Evil where it rises, in my humble opinion, is one of the more important ones. The gods have grant me Strength. Which I wield against our enemies. This is why I have been training my martial skill. So as to perform even stronger blowe. Once my training is continued I might pick up a few new skills from a few mentors.
My current focus is new weapons and armor so that I may be prepared. In the meantime I have met all kinds of interesting people.

I've chosen to take up artwork. For sometimes words are far too limiting in how one wishes to express, or what. I am starting from nothing save the desire to create. Much, I expect, like any artist when they first picked up either brush or chisel.

There is a special joy that comes when you see someone so deserving be given a chance to get all that they have hoped for and deserve. Especially one who is so kind and selfless. It is even better when that person is someone I am very fond of.
Nothing makes me smile more today. Not my own happiness. Not even a kiss long desired. Thought, if pressed, I would have to admit that this is most certainly a close second, if I had to commit.
It is my greatest wish that such happiness and success be gifted to all those who sow such good seeds into this world.
So delighted.

Chambers lit by a solitary candle,
Countenance as gloomy in his regret.
Upon his mind too much to handle,
Cheeks gaunt, eyes calm and yet
In silence gasping for life's breath.
Shadows pass by as 'pon a stroll,
Before a gaze so distant.
Burdens more to take their toll,
He hunches over parchment - persistent,
That his resolve is as ever - resistant.
Wiping at sweat beaded brow,
He casts aside paper, ink,
Takes oil, his lantern to allow
These shades from him to shrink!
Yet from the gloom, they all but wink.
Arise! begs he, of thin air,
Mercy! Mercy, forsake me not!
O shades, be ye ne'er
More cruel! To sing, louder sing your rot
Aloud, that my mind be caught!
Sinks he to his knees, and then
A gasp, but no further interruption.
Deep in both eyes he sinks a pen;
Hallowed vehicle of their deception.
That ne'ermore might he sit, aghast
Of horrors wrought, yet long since passed.

I had a brif encounter with prince patrizio pravus who hads recently been named general of the first legion of setarco as well as baroness calla vaveci and sir alban farshaw. the prince said he was trying to find respite from thoughts of the coming war. i suspect he is not alone in this. i wish him congratulations on his appointment and every success in his duty.

In a way I've returned to contemplating something that I had thought impossible, believing the words of others over my own thoughts and ideas. Yet it would be taking for granted that they know everything, are not prone to their own prejudices and misconceptions.

I am inspired to make a statuette of something I witnessed... But how would one capture liquid and hold it still forever? Perhaps... I could use Saikland Glass?
