I have furnished you with a brilliant invention. The question is, what is it you choose to do with it?

I’ve faith in your skill and fluidity, cousin.

It won't be long now before I have a baby to hold, I think. I'm excited. I'm even more excited for all the naps. People do not believe me when I say that babies sleep very much, but they do. They're often tired from being born. I get the most sleep after the baby is in this world, and not before. I'm anxious now.

...And when my back stops hurting, I'll be able to go back to crafting. Whenever that may be.

I am so utterly grateful for friends this week.

Dame Felicia does a service not only to the Scholars, but as a persistent, unshakeable source of strength and conviction.

Also, that SPIDER! I must have been caught admiring Bonehilda at least six times.

I learned something new today. A couple new things actually. I'm glad about it.

We had a family and friends dinner at Ashford House, and it was good company, good conversation and good food. I think I will try to make this a monthly endeavour.

My muse plagues me.

This theme - I had never wanted to become a scholar of such things.

This structure, it is at once foreign to me but also a thing of rigid purity - and dare I say faith?

I have never found the individual threads of a poem to be this hard to weave together.

Perhaps it is a sign of growth. Or madness.

I hope Jayus will find it pleasing, or it will be for naught. I cannot imagine anyone else will enjoy it.

Practicing the moves of the new dance has proven interesting and somewhat troubling today.
What is a man to do when he must have something light weight and yet does not want to be
little more than a living wick?

Long story short, I may owe my cousin a new tapestry.. And my favorite pants are now lightly scorched.
Now to find a proper fabric and outfit for this dance. And next time..I need to remember to clear away
all of the furniture.

Creation in its purest form honors Jayus. To make joy and beauty and purpose, expression of self, ideas, moments in time; this honors Jayus, the Prince of Stories.

I know the Cathedral's destruction broke the hearts of many, from commoner to noble, and to see the city come together, to hear stories of artisans giving generously of their time and talents and materials, of nobles harnessing their own unique abilities to organize charities ...

It heartens me and makes me proud. The act of giving self-lessly, charity and donation, to create with the purpose of giving it to someone else, a gift of your work, your pain, your materials ... Not everyone can wield a hammer or carve a beam or hew stone with the skill it takes to rebuild the Cathedral, but pouring your time and efforts into organizing an event, or giving what coin you can, or creating a piece of art to auction for the cause, or telling others of all or any to spread the word, these are all steps to reclaiming what we lost.

And I know we lost much art as well, items of great meaning and beauty, rendered to ash and slag. But from the destruction comes creation, new seeds of inspiration to bloom in the fertile grounds of imagination, to create more in the memory of what was lost.

Arx. I am so very proud of you.

The commoner's who have been nominated for being immortalized in statue through my workshop are:

- Miraj Roumier
- Shade Ulbran
- Mayir Grayhope
- Raymesin Ulbran
- Mae Culler
- Mirari Corsetina
- Mayir Grayhope (again)
- Fortunato Grayhope
- Venturo Thayne
- Leola Allenatore
- Anisha Whisper
- Apollo Oakwood
- Felicia Harrow
- Sydney Waterfall
- Rowenova
- Tanith Grayhope
- Venturo Thayne (again)
- Joscelin Arterius
- Josephine Arcuri
- Rukhnis Al-Katibi
- Tanith Grayhope (again)
- Raja Culler
- Nurie Baseborn
- Bliss Whisper

------------------
All nominations are, obviously, anonymous. I also, very sadly, cannot commit to making statues of everyone who has been nominated. It would take me years. And, unfortunately, inspiration for a series of works does not last me years. I believe what I shall do is narrow it down to thirteen people; and release them in batches of 3-4 over a series of months.

The next phase of this project shall be to gather interesting stories of the 20-odd people nominated and determine which is inspiring enough (to me) to create a statuette. If you happen to stumble upon this journal and have a story of one of the nominated please feel free to send it to me via letter.

Also of note, Joscelin Arterius and Josephine Arcuri shall be given statuettes of their own in the future, in another series of work.

Relationship Note on Miraj

There are many things in life for which I am quietly grateful. I elect not to remain quiet regarding my gratitude for my protege, Miraj Roumier: courtier, artisan, stylist, and proprietor of the Mirror, Mirror salon in the Pravus Ward.

If I harbor any doubts regarding my patronage of Messere Roumier, it is only an occasional pang of guilt, that the people of the Compact and my peers in the nobility will gaze upon her grace and beauty and wonder what it is that she could possibly gain from anything less than a Queen. Her loyalty is a blessing of a magnitude beyond words.

I wish I could convey how elated and grateful I am. Our Sip n' Spar fundraiser to help with the reconstruction of our Great Cathedral was successful beyond my wildest dreams.

Thanks to the generous donations of Duchess Lisebet Ashford, Sir Merek Black, Lady Brianna Halfshav, Lord Kastelon Keaton, Lady Kaia Malvici, Lady General Thea Malvici, Prince Patrizio Pravus, Lady Rosalind Ravenseye on behalf of House Ravenseye, Wolf Scout Rowenova, Missere Tarik and Sir Floppington, Baroness Lucita Saik, Marquis Malesh Stonewood, Lady General Piccola Tessere, and Dame Irisa Wainryte as well as to a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous at this time, we were able to raise more than 2.45 million in silver and writs to help with the cause.

In this time of uncertainty and war, our Great Cathedral is an important symbol of who we are and what we fight for in addition to being a place that offers solace, grace and protection for our most vulnerable citizens.

Such caring and generosity touches my heart so very deeply. I cannot say enough how grateful I am to all our supporters who joined us in taking a firm stand against the evil plaguing our land.

I adore that so many have offered assistance and hosted events to help. It makes me so proud to be Arvani.

I know that more needs will come, but, as ever, the Golden Hart stands ready to do all that we can to help our realm and our people.

I look very much forward to hosting our next event and helping another worthy cause.

After early morning prayers I made my way today to the Cairn Valardin once more, meeting Marquessa Keaton. We searched all throughout the park and after spending considerable time, trial and error feel like we found it near the summit of stones.

The perfumed fragrance of the Rose of roses upon the warm summer breeze conveyed a whisper of oaths made, remembered and bound. Undying honor. Eternal love.

A man wrote to me earlier today and told me a truly incredible tale about there being someone else in the world that's taller than me and with a much better beard. There was some talk of honor dueling over the beard and what might happen if a man were to lose such a duel! I'm afraid that the only course of action in front of me is to just abandon everything I hold dear. I'll set forth on my ship and find this mysterious man.

That's somewhere!

In an unknown land!

With an unknown name!

I should have asked for more details. But it's too late now!

An octopus escaped from the kitchen. We find wet trails, but no creature. How it has avoided the claw, I don't know. But we're losing fish in the atrium and we hear a squelching noise now and then. Beware if you step through our halls, it could be anywhere.

I have been told to assimilate my clothing or face having nothing to wear. I believe that this may be in jest, though I have also found that asking can be a safer approach. How does one wear clothing that has no strategical or armor advantages?
