I cannot even begin to tell you how enlightening it was to share stories with you. Truly, I owe you a debt of gratitude for all you have shared with me.
It was so good to be in your company after all this time.

Depends if there's air to breathe, I think. Fair winds and good fortune.

Thank you to Lady Emily Deepwood and Lady Zoey Kennex for having hosted the Tournament of the Hart (Round 1). Lady Rosalind Ravenseye and I both shot true and never missed. We will be representing the Northlands again in round three (after the winners of the second round are determined to see who else will be competing versus us, too).

It is always re-assuring to hear from the Seraph of Sanctum. Being of the Orthodoxy, and if I might spoil myself to think somewhat a senior cleric, I was confident of the support towards the unity of the Faith.
Waldo is now a political flea, of little importance in the grand scheme but rather annoying.

I don't write publicly about my relationships all that often, I value my privacy in that way. But I think it would be a shame to not make at least a little note about this. But I've spent the last year of my life (which has been full of many positive changes), loving a woman. And she's incredible. She respects my choices and the person that I am. We're both dedicated to the Faith that we serve and I don't think that I could have a better partner for the life that I'm choosing to live. Thank you, Bree Harthall. For the last year. And for the future adventures.

My life seems to be full of things to. When I'm not tinkering with this damn breastplate (which is taking many hours but is finally starting to look far better), I spend almost all of my hours at the cathedral. But the scaffolding is up! And this week they'll begin working on the ceiling and on repairing the stairs up to the bell tower. If we can get that ringing again soon, well, that would be great. More than great.
And many thanks to Blessed Brigida for bestowing a prayer upon us while we worked.

A stiletto, hm? With a hammer and shivving knife. You don't ask hard tasks of me, at all, my friend. No worries, I shall figure it out. I shall make you something utterly remarkable and unique. Something... to get the blood rushing (ha ha ha).

I don't consider myself the type but I was finally lured into the fashionable little delivery pet trend. I wasn't sure what kind was for me. Thankfully, I've got a patron who's a fantastic sport about these things.

This last month has truly been a---month. As I've been recovering from one thing to another, I've been thinking of our city. We're stronger together. This is reminded to me time and time again. With the latest---events, I am happy to see a Dominus. I have spoken to Dominus Aureth a couple times and while he isn't Orazio, I have no doubt he will do well in his new position. Because no two people can ever be alike.

The weather is getting HOTTER scholar and the people are getting tense. It isn't their fault, really! Times are hard. But the good news?! A new--Dominus was found. That's good right? I think so. I mean I'm still learning, but that's good! Oh wait! I'm forgetting something.
CONGRATULATIONS Dominus Aureth. That's the right title, yeah?

I'm almost certain that bottle of whiskey was given out during the first large gathering I ever attended in Arx. That's when I saw the King of the Compact himself badly flub a throw and roof his axe. I don't think I braved the axe tossing competition that day, nor did I mud wrestle or have Khanne paint my face half blue, but I have fond memories anyway.
I don't think I even spoke to anyone, come to think of it. At one point I was even shooed away for having sat where people were waiting for their turn to be painted. It was all a little overwhelming.
Thank you, anyway. The nostalgia can only improve the flavor, right?

It was a long and arduous struggle, but it seems, finally, that many of our peers in the Oathlands have come to grudgingly accept the Kertons. I might have been frustrated with the time and effort involved to even get this far, if I didn't well understand the reservations of one side and the earnest hopes of the other.
The Kertons, however, are not simple shav, but remnants of a sister House of Keaton's that was established before the Reckoning and tragically sundered during the Elven War. The crimes committed against them shall be answered and long delayed justice administered. I hope they will soon return to their proper place within the Compact, and look forward to a time when House Kerton rules their county from Shadowood Watch once more.
Together we will push back the darkness and restore what was lost. On behalf of the Kerton and myself, thank you, Aunt Margerie, Uncle Norwood, Cousin Kael and Marquessa Reigna for your support.

I suppose I got rather full of myself after completing two paintings for the charity auction - having not been inspired enough to paint for so long before that. I went to Mangata's shrine in the hopes of creating a work to honor her, as the sea and storms are things I am drawn to. Nothing on canvas came out as I saw it in my head, though, and I need to rethink the whole thing. The hair was /completely/ wrong and the sense of elegance and power I had hoped for just...wasn't there. It is frustrating to fail, though I try to learn something every time I do. I have learned a whole lot over the years.

I have been so pleased with the donations rolling in for the auction! People who I didn't even realize had such amazing talents are surprising me at every turn! Thank you to everyone that has donated so far! And for those who may be thinking about it but also thinking they are not talented enough to create something please try anyway! Every silver counts and your efforts will absolutely be appreciated by someone--perhaps many someones!
I may be sitting by the window watching messengers arrive and hoping the next one is carrying a package containing your donation!
