What a week!
- I had a Very Important Meeting, out of which I have clear marching orders for how to proceed. Scary but exciting at the same time. EEEEK!
- Hug-Off went well! I do believe everyone had a good time, Sabella was a most excellent opponent and I won (not that I had any doubt that on that score). I look forward to the next time we wrap arms around each other competitively.
- Tomwell! Oh, my dear, sweet cousin! He became a Godsworn priest and I am so proud of him! Such a big step, such a huge life choice but I know he will be happy and the world will be made better for it.
- Cassima and Gareth are still getting married! HURRAH! Although I will miss her terribly. Cassima Grayson .. how strange that will be! Although I am delighted that Gareth will be legally required to let me hug him now.

I wish to thank Princesses Caith and Sabella for donating the fruits of their hug-of-war to the Knights of Solace. I am not much of a hugger myself, but it's good to see the skill being used to honor Gild. I suspect she might be a hugger.

... Went to buy a bow, I did, didn't even know there were so many damned options, I didn't. Went to some outta the way place, thought I might give a strugglin' smith the chance I weren't never handed, and to my surprise the bloody scamp had everythin' all worked out! Produced some damned fine quality, he did... couldn't decide on a material, though! I'll be back, mind... and with greater numbers. ... of silver. I'll bring more money, that is, what I meant. ... if I could just remember his name...

I stopped by the Keaton Hall to pay my respects, and found Reigna holding court. I've met more courteous scholars than those in her company, but it was good to meet the Marquis of Greenhaven -- and while I will write this in very small words, in the hopes she doesn't hear it, it was also good to see Amari again.
Even if she and Reigna are liable to gray me.
I will always be a Keaton by blood, and it's a true pleasure to know the house has and will flourish under Reigna and Kael.

Relationship Note on Saedrus
So proud of Saed for getting promoted. If anyone over there deserved it, then it surely had to be him. Can't say enough good things. He is a real good teacher and helped me an awful lot. But I can guarantee that I sure as heck will be watching my p's and q's even more now when he is around (and probably when he isn't too). His stares caused me to hang my head in shame before; I bet they'll be even worse now.

I have a room, and it's neither in an inn nor on a ship. The workmen are still working on the rest of the house, but I'm rather enjoying the novelty. Next I shall need furniture to put in it - the old sea chest, while it's served me well, is not enough. I can get wardrobes, which means I can get more most excellent clothing, which is an idea that would have turned my father purple with rage. It has to be done!
