Relationship Note on Isolde
I have met with Princess Isolde a few times now since the end of the siege, and was honored enough that she trusted me to escort her outside of the city walls. There's a lightness about her now that I much prefer over the world-weary, soul-heavy nature she had in our previous meetings. Whatever joy she has found, I pray she can keep. She's fast becoming a close friend.

The demons of my past seem to come back and haunt me each night. The bodies of men and women who fought bled and died in front,beside and behind me. Im having trouble keeping them at bay these nights. I wish there was some sort of cure for these nightmares and visions.

Sitting within the inn by the window, I see many a person outside cheering and others inside talking and patting themselves on the back as they praise themselves for the victory against the Bringers. I find the concept of these events to be odd and wasteful, I would rather simply have us move on to the logical rebuilding, retraining and educating instead of trinkets, titles and awards as if anything done will actually prevail the final reaping.
Celebrate not the victory, fellow man who drinks too much and speaks too loudly, but the challenge that you were given. Without pain and loss, we will never grow. Dwell on the events which led to the situation so that you might have understanding. But we trek on through new days, unaware that we walk in the echoes and shadows of the past. The wheel turns according to its purpose.
The wheel, it grinds all but leaves a grain behind. Inevitability stares at us all with stoic silence. How will you meet it?

Relationship Note on Asha
I met Asha, a champion. I got a chance to spar with her. She doesn't wear armor so I stripped mine off. That perhaps was not the best plan. She is one of the few that I have fought that uses similar tactics to myself. Well Fought Asha! You showed me where I need to tighten up in my defense and that I still need to work on not becoming so fatigued so quickly.

I went with several people to help the tribes and clans that have been hurt by the siege like we were. It is so hard to see all of those people suffering and I know some of them hated me for being a Greenmarcher but that doesn't matter. Right now making sure they have what they need? That is the important thing. I think at least I was able to help, I plan to ride out again, to help in any way I can.

I cannot allow my disappointment in a few people to outshine recent events.
I will write of happier news.
The fundraiser was a resounding success and I believe my next few days will be spent getting my fingers stained with ink as many many thank you letters must be written out! We shall have a Menagerie like no other in the Compact, thanks to everyone who has donated and continues to do so. The timeline for the construction is yet to be determined but it will be as swiftly as we can possibly spare good hard working men and women away from other humanitarian causes, such of one, that I've volunteered for -- goodness help me! Larissa's organization of the Menagerie fundraiser entertainment has prompted me to support her own cause. Wish me luck!

Today I took my horse for a walk again. I feel like Semiramis and I are really bonding. I did notice a few odd looks as I walked about with my horse. We must make a fine pair. She's such a beauty with her black coat and mane, I do admit some jealousy, her locks might be glossier than mine. Soon I hope to really stretch our legs and take a long ride out of the city, but in the meantime, I think walking Semiramis is a perfect way to bond.

I've started an effort to collect plants from around the Gray forest, and elsewhere, to be presented to the king. I know from others that he is still in a very difficult state, and that gifts might not mean much to him... But these are tokens of his realm, which might, I hope, at least bring him pleasant memories. I will be on a trip soon to collect samples myself. I only hope we find someone with the talent for arranging everything collected artistically.

The Sea Witch is an interesting fellow I enjoy working with, I will learn much from listening to his words. He can be a bit creepy but I suppose that is to be expected.
