Do not know the man but everyone reccomends him for a weapon. I sent him a message, just waiting for a response. The plan is to get a high quality steel Thrax harpoon maybe fix it with some good leather and hemp line.

Tried to sent a message to Felix the smith but I had to take a shit. Probably wrote a mess the man can not understand. I will find him in person and see about getting a weapon. Bank had a couple silvers from some thing the family had me signed a bunch of years ago. I took those silvers to Eithne and order a steel armor. She has a nice shop.

A meeting with the Lady Regent and a new member of the King's Own, this evening. Only marginally slipped up, by neglecting to carry the King's Own blade. I still had the Crown's Defender at my side. It didn't seem proper to have that when meeting the regent. When standing amid the Hundred. They need to see me as a leader, now, instead of a former protege.
We began laying out the groundwork for improvements - to strengthen ourselves against any oncoming threats. Pending a Minister, where we will then turn plan into action.

Took a beating from the Lady General. She is quick on her feet and I could not land a single hit but the advice she offered was getting better gear and complimented my ability to take a sword through the gut. She suggested I speak to Prince Anze from Redrain house.

Relationship Note on Costas
When I saw Costas wearing the sigil of House Malvici at the grotto, a small part of me twitched. Old habits die hard. This man has led an incredible life and I found myself to be lacking when it was my turn to reciprocate. When I shared with him that my work has kept me rather busy these days, he did not hold back from painting a vivid image in my mind that has left me wanting more. Even if such an adventure does not come to fruition, I yearn for more of his tale to be told.

There's been a big demand for Rubicund arms lately. The techniques I'm needing to forge the red steel are right within my grasp. I just hope those with their eyes on weapons made from Rubicund understand just how expensive a weapon like that is sure to be. I can't say that I blame them. It's quite a bit stronger and holds an edge longer than even the highest quality steel.

Lord Tobias wishes to meet with me and discuss some business about supplying Mercier guards with men. I find that a great idea and the perfect example of nobles working with commoners and providing services. He has the crimson blades while foreigners, they have a reputation with their offices now in the city. Many merchants have enjoyed their protection. I wonder if Lord Tobias is a tea or a wine kind of man. Last time we spoke I sent him some our special brandy. Perhaps I would do the same.

I had a good meal with my brother Silas and sister Bethany. Any doubt on wether they are prepared to assume the role destiny has set for them is gone. To be in their presence I can not help but feel to be the dumbest person in the room or the weakest one. It is a good feeling to have. My father always said to surround yourself by better people than yourself. That is my sentiment when sharing a moment with my brother and sister, the same with my cousins. It gives me the confidence to tackle business more aggressively because I know I have a foundation in my family that I can trust.

Working as part of a unit again, even for the fucked up purpose we had... it was reassuring. Finding new people I can trust and rely on is good.
Finding new kinds of liquor I can drink is even better.
Yes, I'm a fucking lush. It's no secret. Spend your life as a doctor and see what I've seen and see if you don't prefer a gentle state of inebriation to sober harsh reality.

Spring is a busy time of year. Already, I have surpassed being simply a lady's maid. Now, I will also seek to be a Disciple of Vellichor, able to learn more and fill my mind with interesting things. Won't that be fascinating and wonderful?
The Archscholar has given me a trial - one I was working on as it is - and other tasks. I have to teach a lesson on some artistic fancy, and spend two days each week tending to the shrine of Reflections with the silent ones. That shouldn't be too bad, should it?

I have fallen back into my old routine. It seems as if I am doing nothing but working lately, and I was doing so well at being social too! Perhaps I am not cut out for it as I hoped. In the end, that might be for the best. I am going to be venturing into uncharted territory soon, dangerous I've been told.

Relationship Note on Cassius
Isn't it strange how the years pass in the blink of an eye? I haven't seen Cassius in what feels like ages. We were thick as thieves growing up, until he had to leave for his calling to the Knights of Solace. I never really expected to bump into him again, at least not in Arx, but it's an absolute relief to see a familiar face in times like these. The real question is how we'd fare in a spar against each other. I think he's gotten taller since I've seen him last, but I'm pretty sure I can give him a run for his money.
