Relationship Note on Kedehern
It's been two months now since Keirlys and Kristoph were born, and I find myself even more in love with them then when I first held them. If you had asked me a few months ago if I could imagine feeling so much love for one person, I would not have been able to. But now, I am just in awe of them everyday. Sure, there are times of frustration, but it is worth it, they are worth it. And I'm thankful for my wonderful husband, too. He's been a wonderful partner, and an excellent father to our children.

A slower week than some but still there's much information to parse through. I don't know where these tangling leads will lead me. It was delightful to learn more about Uanna but I find more and more my thoughts brought around to the story of flame. Like many stories i've looked into the story begins beyond mortal reckoning an unbroken tale that hints at secrets that may be critical for us to survive what comes next. I wonder though... am I failing to find the point by looking more to the story than to what the story might instruct us to do?

The children are growing so much I feel like I need to add a whole new list of painters to the one we already have for I've commissioned so many portraits lately that surely I am tiring them out! But I don't want to miss capturing a moment of how charming Relara is or how contemplative Gareth is or how cute Lulu is or how mischievous Clara is! They're growing so fast I simply cannot believe it! And of course my mother and father and Prince Tyrval all need to have updated portraits so people will comment upon them and they can gush about how adorable and wonderful they are!
I do hope there's not a paint shortage next.

I must confess that the duel between Princess Sorrel Thrax and Lord Alecstazi Halfshav was interesting to say the least. While I don't have much time for jousting myself (horses being of limited use on ships), I must say that the skill and fortitude of both Champions was impressive.
I understand the role that the Champions play in society and the culture of the Compact but... some of the reasons that have been used for issuing a Challenge in the past have been rather... weak in my opinion.
It does not take away however from the skill of the Champions themselves, that I will say.

Today, my champion, Lord Alecstazi Halfshav, took to the fields of honor to duel Princess Sorrel Velenosa over the matter started with Princess Zara Valardin over the horses of the Northern lands being of better blood than those of the Western lands. Champion Halfshav took an early lead as the first pass on the tilt proved that he barely had an advantage.
In the second round, Champion Sorrel struck a blow so powerful that Alecstazi was dehorsed and I was for sure that he was injured enough that if he had chosen to quit the challenge then and there, I would have admitted to Princess Zara that the Oathlands mounts were better. But instead, Alecstazi rose to his feet, got back in the saddle and defeated Sorrel in the final round, coming away with the victory--and Princess Zara's acknowledgement that Sanna horses should be in the conversation of great horses of the lands.
I am sure if I had lost this duel, it would have been a powerful setback for all I have done to promote our stock. Lady Sapphira has promised a song as epic as the event itself. I am grateful to Alecstazi for his duty to the champions and if he should ever require the assistance of Sanna house, I will be proud to offer my services.

With the way I've been lurking in archives and dusty old book shops, the dust seems to have become a second skin. But I find that even after bathing, the knowledge of what I've read and learned seem to linger proving far more troublesome to remove than ride hitching dust bunnies.

More than ever before, now seems to be the time to turn eyes to the future. Time to follow my own dreams and passions. Time to let my Hart open wider and to grow bigger than before. Time to move forward and to see what might be in store.
I know it will not always be easy. And, I know my journey may be long. But hopefully it will continue in excellent company and with event greater fortune.

When we arrived at Farmorn Point, in my heart of hearts, I thought our task impossible. There were already so many envoys, a plethora of barriers in our path. But one by one, my companions cut through them, tore them down as if they'd never existed at all.
Ras, whose investigative skills are beyond compare, and whose contacts, employed by Prince Sebastian Pravus, finally found us the way forward.
Delia and Anisha Whisper, whose flawless diplomacy, charm and grace secured that dangerous path out to the Eurusi ships (there may have been a hint of bribery, too; I don't judge), and swayed the hardened hearts and minds of soldiers who else would have slain us.
Argus the Cruel, you hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for the loan of your ship.
To the Marquis Dante DiFidante. Your letter changed the tides, my friend. I still don't know what was in it, but whatever it was was inestimably important. I hope the news carries to Eurus to those there who will receive your efforts with love and gratitude.

I don't write often in this thing. It still feels strange to air my deeply personal thoughts for all to see. But I will say that, despite all odds, I had a very good week in the end, and sometimes you realize just how lucky you are and that bears saying publicly.
I have no idea what the coming days will bring, but I have faith we'll see it through, and have some great tales to share by the fireside by the end of it.
Gods bless us all -- especially those I love and care for, those I fight beside and those wild, brave and beautiful few who make up my chosen family.

Another excellent Sip n'Spar event at my Hart and even more wonderful donations have been made to help our Hart make our city and realm a better place for all.

I've started to notice that the whiskey bottle comes out whenever we start a conversation any more. I'm not sure if it is to brace one-self for what is to be heard, or to ready for what is to be said. Either way, my new goal for a future meeting is a calm, easy going, sips of mead or ale or juice or wine or something one can enjoy in some easy going banter. Wonder if that goal will ever be reached?

Sometimes, I joke that I am the Luckiest Woman. I think it is true, though. Others in Love may disagree. I can empathize with their perspective, indeed.
I never thought I would find Love again, but I am so lucky that Love came to me when I least expected it to, and it came to me in the form of a Northern born who was raised right and who writes to me as well as works hard and much more!
