I am not sure any man truly knows his own reputation. What do others think about what you do, and what value is there in what they think about what you do?
I believe there is a personal honor in being passionately consistent in your positions; about retaining an integrity to your continuity of purpose, to your consistency of passion.
I have never been one to shy from the courage of my convictions. I understand that there are times when this has led me to wrong choices. I have never been less vehement when I have been incorrect than when I have been entirely right and righteous. It is the curse of the passionate to charge whole-heartedly into the incorrect.
Anyone can make a mistake. But what do you do when you are corrected? Do you cling staunchly to your position, arguing all the more vehemently for what is plainly untrue? Do you attempt to pretend that it was never your position in the first place, disclaiming responsibility for your own words? Do you acknowledge the points where you were incorrect, accept new information and attempt to do better in the future?
It is the answer to _this_ question -- what you do when you discover you are wrong -- that defines character. Your character is shown by your choices.
Own them.

If you have at any point received a copy of the speculations gathered at a session of The Arvum Philosophical Society, aka The Salon, regarding the Nature of Twins, I must ask you now to dismiss that information and cease to spread it.
I have been informed by Legate Aureth that information has been reviewed by him, and he has declared it heretical to the faith.
While I do not fault any who participated in that session for their roles in asking questions, nor begrudge those who gave answers in an attempt to satisfy them, when the Faith takes a stance that information is heretical it is a thing to be respected.
I will no longer be sharing my copies of the records from that meeting, and I apologize to any who were inconvenienced by this. I assure that the information was shared with the best of intent. Yet a mistake, once revealed, must be corrected.

I heard that House Telmar refuses to give up the sword because they accidentally spilled a bunch of jam on it like four years ago and never cleaned it off and now it's covered in old sticky jam and they're really ashamed of this!
I heard that Bliss Whisper wants it because on the blade is inscribed an ancient map that leads to a lost treasure!
I heard that the real treasure is the friends you make along the way!
I heard that Lady Isabeau doesn't want to give up the sword because there's already an enormous amount of time and paperwork invested in its secret betrothal to the heirloom weapon of House Tyde!
I heard that Bliss Whisper eats swords and House Telmar is very anti-eating swords so they will never come to an accord! If you ask me, this is very narrow minded of House Telmar. If someone wants to eat swords, who are you to judge? Pretty sad and a real statement on the times in which we live.

The best way to stifle gossip is to draw attention to the subject of the gossip by demanding that the gossiping cease and by shaming the behavior of the gossipers!
They will definitely stop gossiping and will instead think about their poor life choices!

I do not know how I would manage to keep up from day to day without my associations in the Iron Guard. Their company keeps me at and even keel when I feel like absolutely everything else has spun out of control.

I think I may take up writing.
I've had to write many reports, but I may also use some downtime to write tales that might be of interest to read to my children one day.
Maybe, stories of my brother and I as children or stories of adventures as an adult.
I may even create some fiction for the fun of it.
Possibilities are endless and using my creativity can help me find another form of release.

I completed a sculpture and had it delivered to the Valardin ward for the Artshall Spring Fete. It was the first sculpture that I was actually satisfied with when I saw it taken away. I have some very, very fond memories associated with the work, and for that alone it will live in my heart.
It was successful enough that I am considering adding more of such pieces to my shop. I am already considering expansion. My first thought was to create separate rooms for each of our Principalities, as each has their own unique take on style trends. But given the current circumstances, I do not know if segregation is what is needed right now. So perhaps instead I will simply add in an alcove for statuary or drawings, mmm?

How can it already be mid-April? Where went the days of March, flown by in a howling snap of snow and the sudden torrential rush of liquid sunshine? Hardly have I turned around to mark the passage of the month than the heat, unbearable and bright, is upon me. That means a certain need to commit to cleaning out the gardens, folding up the transitional attire of that foggy wet period before the spring weather settles in, and organization of all kinds.

Old Grimminy is back from the countryside. He complained that farm life was too hard and asked me to get him taken care of like I did during the silent war.
He said I owed him money for publishing his autobiography.
He said he wants to meet a nice young lady and start a family.
