If anyone is in need of wine or shelter you will find both in the Fidante Villa.

Now, it turns green and stings. This is not good.

Relationship Note on Preston
You often don't live long, unless you're good, or lucky, and usually both. You don't get mourned the way soldiers and knights do. You don't get praised for what you do when the nobles get together to talk about sacrifice and war. There aren't any monuments. Funds for orphans. And you usually get sat on the front line, to take the brunt of anything that comes.
That's the wars. There's nastier work that people approach you and pay you for, because they don't want to get their hands dirty.

Additionally, if any are interested in having the breweries and carnivals of the Raconteur established in their lands, I am finalizing a round of investment as I write this. In the past, this partnership has created slews of jobs for various holds, along with wares built locally to their lands that the people are proud to have as their own. Send inquiries my way if it is something that catches your interest.

I've experienced this in a number of ways lately. I imagine more will come. They're good reminders.

Those dogs, there's a group of them still out there being tended to. I think I need to do some more looking into them...

But sometimes it is the simple things that touch me most deep and I cannot help but catch my breath at it.
The way the sun kisses the snow just right way and the world explodes into thousands of tiny drifting diamonds. A moment of unexpected kindness that brings great joy to another. A little look or the gentle touch of someone who holds heart. Or the simple knowledge that for some unfathomable reason one is treasured and cared for above all else.
I am grateful for these things. Large and small. Gifts one and all.
I hope to experience so many more before it is my time to leave.

That said, it's made me realize I do need a good, warm winter coat. And something for my fingers -- I am fond of them, after all, and would prefer not to lose them.
