I decided to throw my lot in with those who were attempting the Northern stag hunt without weapons. An interesting challenge, the concept to me of trying to wrangle stags without doing them any due harm.
I didn't place in the notables of the event, but I certainly learned some interesting methods for the future.

A lovely evening last night in Ischia. Marquis Seraceni was a most gracious host, and indeed, I can't speak highly enough of the fete that he threw for his guests.
Surprisingly to myself, I spent a good portion of the evening dancing, which was a beautiful distraction from things far more martial that lurk before us. It is the truth, that enjoying any affair's as much a function of the company you share there than anything else, and I was blessed with falling in with a good body of my cousins and others to delight in.
May the gods let memories such as this illumine our way through the dark storm to come.

Relationship Note on Cirroch
I had a love time visiting with Marquis Cirroch and his children . I participated in play time with plushies and after the children had gone to bed we discussed some mutual research. it is a thing of wonder to see this big boisterous who sometimes come across as awkward even to the point of being rude in some social situations be so loving and gentle with his children and his wife. There is nothing but fun and love in the sanna household and I feel privleged to be welcomed within. It reminds me that it is sometimes worth getting to know people beyond first impressions and that sometimes the best treasures are those from nature not those with refinement and polish . Time in that home reminds me of life as it should be. Would that every blow land with the softness and every battle end with hugs and kisses. it both makes me sad for the true fighting to come and offers a reminder of why we fight. for innocence and love should always be allowed to exist , even for the short time that is youth. Though i am no soldier for the sake that children should no peace and joy, I would give my life

I dreamt of living statues the other night. Life sized but stiff. Unmoving until I spoke to them, and then like spilling paint across a canvas they game to life. Animated and bright. As if my words are breathed life into them. As if the stories came to life by speaking. I awoke feeling the happiest I have been in quite sometime. This project I am working on-- of thirteen untitled commoners of inspiration, I believe it will be wonderful. It is long, hard work, but I think these stories are import.

Just moved into my new apartment. Much better than my last one. I know what it's like to sleep rough. There are those who would say I deserve worse, but here I am.

I went visiting Master Felix yesterday! I had so much fun! I talked to Felix and Lord Cahal. It was like a party showed up since Lady Ivy and Sunaia showed up too. So lots of pastries and cider. And talking. It's so nice to just---talk! About things that aren't related to the things I should be. It was relaxing. And needed....I can't wait to start helping!

I attended the Kennex family dinner the other night. For a moment, I thought Drake misguided me to the nursery. As a prank. But then I remembered who I was with. And scholar---Let me just say. So. Many. Kids. Now, it's not that I don't dislike them. I do. Like them that is. But it was a herd....I threw jerky at a couple, told them to give them to Finn to do tricks. What? You mean children don't like jerky? Or Finn? Anyway, Jan is back. Don't you dare call her LADY! I owe her so many drinks. So so many. Lady Catalana was talking about match making, and I completely understand. Maybe she'll--turn her eyes to her about eating and things instead. On second thought.....

I won a stag wrangling event! I started by talking to them, yep. Talking! Believe it or not, they understand you. Animals are smart, scholar. We had a mutual understanding. My cousin is back in town! You know(Ok, you don't), the one named after a mushroom. What, your family doesn't name their children after fungus? She's a Whisper now and I couldn't really be more proud of her. I'm so excited to have her back! She hasn't changed much...I don't think anyway. The City is lovely. There are many things to see which I did not expect and the people I meet continue to surprise me.
Softest Whisper Anisha is grander than I have heard and I am humbled to have her as a mentor. The other Apprentices and Whispers who I've met are all charming, but Precious Maharet, the Jewel of Tremorus, is perhaps the most intriguing person I've met so far. She is colored like the autumn, with leaf red hair and golden yellow eyes like a cat. I want to see more of the City with her, as we have agreed to teach each other about our respective cultures.
There is so much to do and learn. I feel a strong pull here. I am supposed to be here, and it feels fantastic.

Zoey is a great hostess. She had the Kay filled with conversation and laughter, not to mention brimming with the next generation of little Kennex. I can't believe she is having -TWINS- next. With Catalana talking about matches, maybe I ought to get on board with this in my own way before it gets ahead of me. Maybe I'll see about taking care of Leif. He is about the age he could start training and the last thing my cousins want is one more kid to take care of.

While times are tough for many, it's nice to be recognized for my work as a seamstress and its ability to bring joy to the city. I'll always consider music my first love. But making clothing for the people of Arx, especially designing custom gowns for noble women, has become a second passion!
I'll do my best to make everyone happy with my latest styles! I am particularly excited about the new tweed fabric as it will be perfect to make newly stylish coats for the coming winter!
