I am recently returned from a great journey into the Oathlands and across Arx to gather stories and testimonies about our great and departed Lord Commander, Sir Dayne Valardin. I thank Princess Ophelia, Sir Austen, Dame Imi, and Lady Teagan for their help on these efforts.

There is too much learned to record it all here and now. Perhaps there will be a book in time. But for now, we will tell the stories by fires and over ales. And in time, we will tell the stories at the Hall of Heroes, when we will welcome our Brother, Sir Dayne, into the pantheon of the greatest heroes the Compact has known.

I will say this from our findings, that I agree with this from the Archscholar Aldwin, written on the Lord Commander's passing:

"Many say we just lost the greatest knight of our generation, and in that, I feel there is no argument. But that does not state all of it, in truth. I fear we have lost the greatest man of our generation."

Relationship Note on Malesh

Never had I hated numbers more in my life than after having to listen to Lord Malesh Stonewood speak to me about them for hours before we could address some house financial matters and agreements.

Greetings, Scholar. Since I saw you last, I have been to the Hall of Heroes. It is an impressive place, very large, with many statues to look at, and many inscriptions to read. So...many...inscriptions.
As I stood before the alcove of Killian Ashford, I met a woman from the Telmarch, and we spoke briefly. She told me that his is one of the newer additions to the Hall. It was only after she had left that I read the inscription there.
An interesting bit of chance, that.
I have a feeling I will have to visit that place many times, for there is much to remember. ...Maybe napping on the benches there isn't such a strange thing to do, after all.

The training center, just south of the Hall, looks promising. I hope I will be able to test my mettle against someone there, soon. Yes, I think I would like that, very much.
No need to look like that, Scholar. This is one of my good smiles. I promise.

So ends the life of Lady Dianna Mazetti and begins that of Sister Dianna Godsworn.

It's a good week in which I do not end up dead. It may be a better week when a wicked thing no longer achieves or accomplishes its aims thanks to the coordinated efforts of many people.

On the other hand, I plan to stay in the bath for the next ten hours thanks to an overly amorous table.

The First Feast of Spring was lovely; it was wonderful to meet so many new faces, and reconnecting with several more I have not seen in too long. Fitting, for a season of new beginnings.

I am grateful I could find the time to attend, and further still to those who put together such a spectacular feast. I feel as if I couldn't eat another bite for weeks; the sign of a successful feast if there ever was one.

From my dual perspectives in Arx and from my adoptive homeland of Esterhold, I cannot help but stand in warm admiration of the work done at Aviaron's Peak. It sounds as if it has become a hub not only for trade but for amicable cooperation of other kinds. As an occasional diplomat and obscure ruler, I cannot help but be very favourably impressed!

That the snow is melting away and green is sweeping along the ground, I find myself lifted up. The ice and endless cold gone. The grimy parts of the world are visible, but they're truthful, and the flowers that grow and are not picked for short term gifts allot a brightness to the ground that the sun on snow cannot compare to.

This watercolor was made by a rushed beginner. Pale swaths show where too much water was used.

The Child of the Emperor sits in Whisper House with a small group of artists. The woman evaluates everyone with a measured look, yet one touched by curiosity. Her eyes show the confidence of someone who knows the truth of the world, and she would ask all to accept it as their own. Rather than arrogance she shows a parental concern. There is a touch of regret that she cannot stand parent to them all. The artist has taken license from the sky outside and has washed the emissary in a radiant light of the sun painted on the horizon where the sky meets the Bay of Thrax. The sails of the Ordered Path are hinted at with a few strokes. The artist has offered the freedom to choose whether the sky shows dusk or dawn.

FARMING. AGRICULTURE.

Did you see those words? If you're looking for information on those, read on.

It's occured to me recently how much we're recovering from the archives; and how little of actual use we're putting in its place. The vast majority of information is the daily ramblings as we consider our place within the Compact; but for after the next catastrophe, and the Compact is trying to rebuild once more, hopefully the following will be of use.

Crop Rotation.
This is a method for maximising the use of fertile land for farming, over a period of seasons. It works by growing a series of plants in a set order, so that what is taken from the land one season is replaced in the next. This avoids needing to leave the land fallow, and allows a farmer to maximise the yield of his crop from a minimal acreage.

Plants best suited to this rotation ...
(What follows is a highly detailed and technical discussion of the importance of crop rotation. It is not riveting reading)

Relationship Note on Dianna

A new sister. It shall be interesting to see how she develops - the first period after your vows is never easy. You never realise how much you don't know until others look to you with expectation of ideological and theological saviour. But I have no doubt she will take well to it and will be dedicated. A welcome and most interesting new sibling in the Faith.

The First Feast of Spring was a definite success and I would like to point to the efforts of Dame Leola and Anisha Whisper in making it happen.

They did all the heavy lifting and organisation so I could come along and say a prayer or two and fulfill my obligations as Archlector and spend more time socialising and feeding Oswald.

I feel honored and blessed to have such a stalwart, loyal, and loving family. I think the gods for them, and for how we have always stood by one another. As well as those that are friends and allies. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for standing together.

Good bye snow. I do not miss you. Nor the fact I never found my winter wardrobe. I suspect one of the Bisland house staff burnt it in a fit of pique. I have no proof though.

In a week, I have been beaten and bruised, but have come out on top. Watched a friend become...well still a friend but now ,a new identity. I'm becoming restless and I'm unsure on the reasoning. I feel like I need to be doing something more or going someplace. Now that the snow is gone, perhaps that time is now.

I am quite pleased with all the donations to the basket raffle tomorrow! People have been so generous! While I did make the rounds asking things of people, others have just offered them up unasked and that just shows that our citizens have the best hearts to help those they don't even know with their generosity! I think everyone will be quite pleased with the things that are up on offer! And I'm still trying to finagle things as we speak, so we shall see what the final prize will be in the end!

I cannot wait until tomorrow!

Tried to find my family in this sweltering heat. Yelled, screamed, kicked on some doors...Should I tell them my demands? I did threaten to hold Aella's raven ransom. I'm ready to go sailing Aella! Cadern I'm talking to you too! Or a nice jump in the river.
