I actually find it quite heartening that people feel comfortable whining publicly about the Inquisition. We have come a long way from the reign of Shreve's terror and corruption when men toying with what they do not understand can bleat from the rooftops without fear that they will vanish in the night.

And I'll always remember that we stood together in all of that. Even when it all changed at Stormwall, at the end we charged together.

I'm no stranger to fear. Fear is natural. Normal. Important. Fear keeps you alive. It's important to listen to your fear, to understand your fear, and to decide when to follow your fear or to deny it. Most people are afraid. People who do great things are afraid. Anyone who isn't afraid at least sometimes is an idiot who will probably get themselves and others killed.
It's easy, though, to let fear lead you by the nose. When you stop listening to fear as a potential guide, and just let it make your decisions for you. Very easy. That's what makes someone a coward.

It isn't that I've never been in Arx before, it's more that it has been a while. My favorite thing so far has been a small patch of wild strawberries I've found near the estate. They are tiny and imperfect, but so sweet that every time I taste one, I think I might cry. I've taken to walking past them twice a day, trying to beat out the area squirrels and birds who find them as delectable as I do. Spring truly is a lovely time of year.

There are very few materials which I can think of that the Inquisition might confiscate, my lord.
Of those, I am not quite so certain why you would be rather insistent on having them. Generally they have very dark history or are very dangerous. If the source is what I think it is? All the more reason for concern.
