This past few weeks have made up the single greatest month of my life.
Starting with my marriage to the most wonderful woman this world has ever produced, followed by my being able to give my first family a gift like no other and now, tonight, my debut at the Blackrose.
I can't believe I'm finally here. With all that I've imagined, the reality of this night is sure to make this one of the best nights ever.
What a month of superlatives.
And the best part? My marriage, my family and my career as a writer? Each will only get better from here.

As we welcome Lord Commander Eleanor to her new role, let me also spare a word for our immediate past Lord Commander, Dame Leona.
Leona has been a friend and a confidant since shortly after I came to the Capital. She has taught me much about the ways of the knight and of honor, even correcting me when I have strayed from those virtues. She accepted me into the Silver Swords after once refusing her. And she has continued to teach me more about the world and myself as a knight in her service.
Even as you go on to new duties, Dame Leona, know that our friendship remains fast. I stand ready to give you any assistance you may require. And I look forward to our continued conversations.

I could not be happier for (or prouder of) our new Lord Commander, Eleanor Allenatore. To say that she has been training for this role all of her adult life is an understatement. A squire to the King's Own since the age of 14, she has the spirit of a knight within her.
She will lead the Hundred to new great things. She walks the path of heroes, of the greatest knights of all of Arvum. I am proud to serve her, the King, and the Compact.

The Whisper House's grand Elysian Ballroom has been reserved for The Gala! I couldn't possibly get much happier. It's such an inspiring and beautiful setting for our vision. The Gala Committee is hard at work, making it happen. I was happy to have Dame Eleanor on my own ship during Setarco. I was happier still that she made it back to the city alive.

I happen to be a lucky woman whose husband writes the most beautiful letters to. We do that still, exchange letters, little thoughts of one another when our duties keep us apart; even if it is only a few hours. Sometimes, we are struck with inspiration and have to share our thoughts with one another right at that moment.
He also gives the most amazing compliments (and gifts).

Just when I thought there was nothing new which could surprise me, the Banshee is sick, a high fever which did concern us, but it soon broke. Then came the temper and the rash, and I will admit to taking the better part of valor and retreated. I will owe my dear wife something for dealing with the raging devil who flings food in faces and wails loud enough to shake walls.
